Fantastic controller for PS5 remote play
I've been searching for a good controller to pair with a 8.7" tablet that I have to make a DIY Playstation Portal and Android gaming handheld. There are ways to make other controllers work with a larger tablet, but the S9 is the best one that offers out of the box compatibility along with the rumble function. The biggest failure point in any controller like this will probably be the usb c connector, and I liked that the S9 had a flexible housing for the connector; this allows some movement as you're plugging in your device and will probably be more durable. It's also angled slightly upward since you have to attach the device at an angle initially - a good feature that shows some foresight. The grip is comfortable and lightweight. By itself, it actually weighs much less than my PS5 controller, but obviously becomes heavier when you attach a device to it. The buttons are very good, maybe just one step down from my PS5 controller - which is very good for a 3rd party controller. The joysticks also have Hall Effect, so I doubt stick drift will be much of an issue. A minor complaint is that I would've preferred the handles to be slightly longer, but it is still very comfortable for gaming sessions. I was annoyed at the purple leds which turn on when you plug in a device. But, if you go to Abxylute's website and download their latest android software (I don't know about iOS since I only used it with an Android device), you have the option to dim or turn off the leds, which is very useful for gaming at night. The app also allows you to configure some advanced settings like the gyro or joystick dead zones, but I didn't need to use any of that since it worked fine. Compatibility so far has been outstanding. The Playstation app allows me to stream games from my PS5 and it works well. I was having issues initially until I used an ethernet cable for my PS5, and forced my Android device to only use the 5ghz wifi band, since the 2.4ghz one doesn't work well for the bandwidth needed. There can be some minor latency, so I'm not sure how it will fare for reflex-intensive games, but it worked very well for Metaphor: Refantazio, which is mostly turn-based combat. It also worked great for Android games from the play store. My tablet fit snugly in the housing, and there are soft rubber bumpers you can also apply to further increase the contact/compression between the controller and your tablet/phone. I also used a soft rubberized case for my tablet, and I think that helped increase the friction between it and the controller; I haven't had any issue with my tablet getting dislodged. Pass through charging is definitely helpful, and the charging port is out of the way enough that the cable didn't bother me while holding the device. For any larger tablet, I think this is the best product on the market right now, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Great, high quality game controller.
This controller feels great in my hands, and makes playing games on my phone very enjoyable. I love that it can adapt to different phones so I know I can continue to use it on multiple devices. It is high quality and a solid build. The buttons, triggers and joysticks are nice, and I cannot tell the difference from console controllers. Along with the gyroscope and vibration, every feature on this controller makes it feel like playing with my other console controllers. It even came with additional d-pads and joysticks to customize to my preference. The abxy game app is a great addition, allowing me to customize the controls and launch certain apps and games. But most importantly the controller worked right out of the box. Just plug it in and go!

Perfect Mobile Gaming Companion
Mobile gaming is finally having its moment. Cloud gaming (Luna, GeForceNow, Steamlink, Moonlight/Sunshine), emulation finally on iOS and high profile game ports require a high quality controller. The Abxylute S9 is easily the best handheld controller in its class with its ergonomics and versatility. Face button layout and texture are similar to the Hori compact split pad pro. Thumbstick height, movement and feel are about the same as the Xbox one controller. The grip style and texture and reminiscent of the Xbox one also. The triggers pull exactly the same as the Dualsense 5. The plastics and rubber feel premium. Basically, the S9 utilizes the best ideas from all of these controllers. The USB-C connection works reliably on my iPhone 16 pro max, iPad Mini 7 and Samsung S10+ in all the games I threw at it. So what separates this controller from any others? The bluetooth option. Some games will not work with usb-c like Call of Duty Mobile on Android. The S9 does not have a built in battery and instead draws power from the connected device. The controller treats bluetooth and usb-c as two complete separate things - so you can power the controller with one device and play on a second. It’s a blast to watch a game guide on YouTube or queue up music while waiting in a lobby. It also means your controller never has a dead battery or needs to sit on a charger while you wait. Pair this with something like an 8bitdo adapter and the connection options are limitless. Abxylute knocked it out of the park. Two thumbs up, highly recommend!

Best Value for Mobile gaming
I bought this controller for light gaming on my android tablet as well as for streaming. Turns out it works incredibly well for both. Before that, however, I have to talk about the build quality. This is not some cheaply made piece of plastic with buttons. This is made with quality hard plastic. There are no creaks or funny noises when you are using it. It feels like a real controller. The face buttons have a nice click to them but not too noisy. Same for the D-pad. The back buttons are perfectly positioned for my finger to reach. The thumbsticks have a good travel range and are not too resistant or too loose. The shoulders buttons are great, but triggers have a bit too much travel which is just a personal preference really. So 5 stars right off the bat for the controller build. Feels great in the hand. I've played some Asphalt Legends as well as some Steam game streaming with this controller and I don't miss much moving from my Xbox controller to this. Great product. Can't beat the value.

Great telescoping controller with a couple of minor issues
The included features of this controller for the price is great. The joysticks and triggers felt a little off straight out of the box, but after following the included instructions on how to reset the controller, they now are working great. The controller feels solid when attached to my mobile phone and I did not have to remove my phone case to use the controller. The one thing that has not worked for me on this controller is the 3.5mm audio jack, but that is a minor issue since I have wireless ear buds that I already use with my phone. It would also be nice if the abxylute app was available on the Google Play store on Android. Currently the user is directed to download and install the apk from Github. One nice bonus is that the controller can be used with a Nintendo Switch if it is connected to a power source like a phone or external power bank.

The Ultimate Full-Size Mobile Controller (Finally, Zero Compromises!)
Great for FPS and ROMs on mIf you are tired of cramped, mushy mobile controllers that feel like cheap toys, the abxylute S9 is the upgrade you’ve been waiting for. I’ve been using this with my iPhone, and it completely transforms mobile gaming into a true console-quality experience. Here is why this controller completely clears the competition: 🎮 Genuine Full-Size Ergonomics Unlike most mobile gamepads that force your hands into a cramped claw grip, the S9 features full-size grips. It feels exactly like holding a premium Xbox or PlayStation controller. If you have larger hands or play for hours at a time, the ergonomics alone make this worth every penny. 🎯 Hall Effect Precision The joysticks and triggers are flawless. Because they use Hall Effect magnetic sensors, you get zero stick drift, ultra-precise deadzones, and perfectly linear trigger pulls. It makes a massive difference in first-person shooters and racing games. 📱 Perfect iPhone Integration & Versatility Seamless Connectivity: The Type-C direct connection means absolutely zero input lag. Case Friendly: It stretches easily and securely holds the phone, fitting perfectly even with a slim case on. Future-Proof: It’s rare to find a controller that handles a standard iPhone, stretches to fit an iPad Mini, and supports Bluetooth if you want to swap to a tablet later. 🛠️ Hardware & Software Features Free Button Mapping: The software mapping tool works brilliantly for games without native controller support (like setting up custom overlays for touch-heavy titles). Premium Buttons: The D-pad and face buttons have a satisfying, crisp tactile click—no mushy membrane feel here. 💡 The Verdict The abxylute S9 bridges the gap between mobile convenience and hardcore console performance. It has completely changed how I play games on my iPhone. If you want the best possible tactile feel, zero drift, and actual ergonomic comfort, skip the standard compact grips and buy this. Highly recommended.y phone!

Accurate Sticks, Secure Grip, and Great Customization
I am incredibly impressed with the Abxylute S9. It checks every box for a premium mobile/tablet controller. Comfort & Build: It feels great in the hands, it feels durable yet lightweight. The spring clamp is strong and secure. Controls: The joysticks are smooth and highly accurate, the tactile buttons are crisp, and the triggers offer smooth tracking with just the right amount of resistance. Customization: It includes extended joysticks and interchangeable D-pad faces right out of the box to fit your exact playstyle, magnetic faceplates can also be easily swapped. Software & On-Board Options: The sheer amount of tweakable settings is incredible. You can adjust vibration strength, remap keys, set turbo modes, change joystick modes, and easily switch input types (X-Input, PlayStation, Android, and Nintendo Switch) via USB-C or Bluetooth backup. These are just some of the options available. The Abxylute app also allows for OTA firmware updates to deliver bug fixes and new features. If you want a comfortable controller that lets you fine-tune your gaming experience, I highly recommend this one.

Destroy the ROG Switch Deck With This & the S25 Ultra!!!!!!
Wow, I really had NO FAITH in this purchase or in "phone" controllers whatsoever. I recently picked the extremely gaming capable S25 Ultra though and I just had to see what all the fuss is about. I'd seen videos of the thing running native games at 90fps maxed out like fortnite and diablo, etc., and also seen some videos on emulation for games like GTA. So, I figured I'd buy it and return it when it sucked. I was Soooooo Wrong!!! This thing feels like an Official Xbox Controller!! The sticks and buttons are Wonderful!! It fits Snuggly onto my S25 Ultra and it works like a freaking charm!! I've played fortnite natively and Diablo and both are fantastic experiences. I've also streamed games (another thing I'd given up on tbh..) from the app that comes with this device; it integrates all of your games (yes, all of your GAMEPASS Games Too:) and can launch them directly without any installation required! I've played Halo and Assassin's Creed so far on Really Poor Wi-Fi and they still LOOK & PLAY PHENOMENALLY WELL. Next, I'm going to try some emulation software, but long story short, this thing has COMPLETELY CHANGED MY VIEW ON HANDHELD GAMING FOR THE BETTER. I'm now a 100% believer in the possibilities of using your phone basically as a Switch, ROG Alley, Steam Deck, etc., REPLACEMENT. The S25 Ultra is BEAST!!! The anti-reflective, high resolution, high refresh rate, bright, vivid OLED display, Sound, Processing and Battery Life are INSANE. I'm in love with this thing and it's enabled me to have gaming sessions while on my breaks at work that are truly immersive and FUN as heck. If you're leaning towards buying a controller for your phone or tablet, this one will not disappoint. WELL DONE!!

Comfortable and feels well made
I love it. It's the first smartphone controller I've owned so I can't make comparisons like for like, but it's a hell of a lot comfier to hold than a PSP original, which is what I had many moons ago when I was last gaming on the go. Switching input modes is easy, the power pass-through works as advertised, the buttons feel console-quality. My one gripe is the rubber cushions that grip either end of your phone can't be swapped as standard, so my phone case left the the USB-C connecter about a millimetre too short to reach. This seems to be a common design oversight with these controllers. I cut and peeled this end off and used it as a stencil to make a replacement out of a piece of inner tube and some VHB tape. It could certainly look prettier, but it works perfectly now.

Great controller!
The Abxylute S9 is an excellent controller for mobile and cloud gaming. It works seamlessly with Xbox Cloud Gaming, PS Remote Play, and allows you to play retro games as well as games from the App Store natively, using your phone as the display. The buttons are clicky and highly responsive, making gameplay feel precise and satisfying. The controller is lightweight and comfortable to hold for long sessions, with an ergonomic design that reduces hand fatigue. Your phone can be charged directly from the bottom of the controller while you play, and the controller itself requires power to function. If you want more flexibility, you can also use a battery pack to operate it as a Bluetooth controller. The package includes two different D-pad styles and extra joysticks, giving you customization options to suit your preferred play style. Overall, the Abxylute S9 is a versatile, well-built, and highly functional controller that’s perfect for both casual and serious mobile gaming. Highly recommended!

One of my best purchases in years – solid, stable, and feels premium
I’ve been using this controller for a little while now, and I can honestly say it’s one of my favorite tech purchases in recent years. What I love: The build quality feels solid and durable – nothing flimsy at all. Even with a small tablet attached, it stays firmly in place and feels secure. The full-size design makes it much more comfortable than those small telescopic grips. Controls are responsive, joysticks and triggers feel smooth, and the overall experience is close to using a real console controller. You can keep playing while charging, which is super convenient. Things to keep in mind: With a tablet it can feel a bit heavy after very long sessions, but that’s expected. Make sure your device’s case doesn’t get in the way of the fit or the charging port. Bottom line: If you’re looking for a controller that’s sturdy, comfortable, and works great even with a small tablet, this is an excellent choice. For me, it’s been absolutely worth it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommended.
