Orbit 57624 1-Inch FPT 100 Series Automatic Anti-Siphon Valve with Flow Control

I replaced the new valves for the old ones without changing the base part (pipes) and it worked great! No more leaking.

I've been using these (and slightly previous versions) for about 30 yrs now, and have always been happy with them. They last ~10-15 years in the southern California sun. Wish they had an easier-to-use manual on-off switch, but I very rarely need that anyway.

I've had an orbit valve for years, but the backflow preventer finally stuck. They no longer sell the model I had, or parts for it. I spoke to Orbit and they advised the backflow top and insert on this valve was interchangeable with mine. I found the top didn't interchange, but the insert did. I was able to use the parts from this valve to repair my old valve without having to re-plumb the system. With the low price of this valve, and the interchangeability of the parts, my repair was very inexpensive.

Easy to install and very good quality product . Last one last 15 years so can't complaint about the product at all.

Fast shipping just what we needed

I ordered two of these valves, one was perfect and the other looks like it was a return. I was able to easily install the good product but unable to use the other due to missing parts and PVC welded pipes as seen in the picture. I’m assuming someone returned this and it was mistakenly sent out, trying hard to be positive and understanding. Ordered a replacement that will be here in 5 days. The original order arrived in two.

Great Product

Replaced 12+ years old valves. These should last just as long, if not longer.The spacing between inlet and outlet is a bit shorter than my old valves. I had to heat the outlet pipe (thinner than inlet pipe which is schedule 40 PVC) it bent just enough to make up difference.These have anti-siphon feature so water does not go back into house water pipe.The solenoid is also much easier to turn. They have a little lever to make it a no brainer even for me.By the way, I did take one of the old valves apart as some videos suggest I could simply wash the innards, maybe replace the diaphragm inside. It looks easier on video than reality. I broke a tiny thing off. Thrn finding replacement diaphragm is a dice roll and nearly as expensive as getting brand new valves. So I went with nee valves. A couple days to receive them. An hour or so, for me, to swap 4x old with new ones. Done.A good purchase.
