I just hooked one up to the 200w Boss amp under the seat.. HOLY COW. What a night and day difference.. the system with a Sony Xplod deck wasn’t good at all. The overhead speaker mounts in jeeps (at least my ‘99) were terrible. ZERO bass, some miss? Sorta? Mostly treble. The cheap amp and these make an ENOURMOUS diffference.. it’s freezing outside so I didn’t mess around much but I’m getting ACTUALLY BASS from these 6x9’s.. I did get a cheap 10” sub today too but not even sure I’ll use it after hearing these bad boys.. the boxes I got were about $40, very happy and now just have to figure out how to make them “lazy theif” proof for when the top is down.
