This is a lightweight ripstop with a rubbery backing that feels like it could be water resistant. It feel sturdy and good quality. It will make nice stuff sacks or bag linings.

I did not know that Pu 3000 and DWP means that the rip stop nylon is coated in plastic. So it’s definitely waterproof and can be used for bags or covers, but not for clothing. It seems pretty thin, but it will probably be strong enough because of the plastic coatings.

This fabric is quite thin, but hopefully the ripstop will help it last through some wind. I am stapling a strip of this at the top of a wire/metal gate on the barn to help keep some wind/cold out this winter. I have clear tarps on the gate itself so just needed a narrow strip of maybe 8-10" to go above the gate to the doorway top. Hoping this will survive the cold and wind this winter. At least it will be easy to sew some hems around the edge with it being thin. Ripstop and waterproof are what drew me to this fabric for outdoor use. If it fails to survive this winter, I will update this review.

The media could not be loaded. I am very happy with this ripstop fabric. It cut easily and it sewed beautifully with a number 10 needle. I used my regular pressure foot and I didn’t make sure to pull it through just a little bit to make sure it didn’t bunch up, but it’s so absolutely wonderfully. I did use a polyester thread rather than cotton because I read that polyester thread works better with the ripstop fabric. So, a small needle like I said - I usde the 10 gauge and the polyester thread that pulls through the rip stop easily and I am very, very happy with this fabric very easy to work with.
