14.8V 120C 1550mAh 4S Lipo Battery

I have really become a huge fan of these Ovonic batteries. At first I got them for the value, but quickly realized they hold their own with any battery out there. The run times are always great, and whatever statistic it is that translates to power to the wheels, these Ovonics batteries have it set to ten! Always top quality, always reliable, and always durable. I got my First Ovonic as a spare for a crawler, and quickly realized the Ovonic was out performing my extremely expensive orange and black battery in both run time and a noticeable boost in top speed. It’s hard to notice a top speed difference on an RC that goes 45 mph, but when its a crawler that only goes 2 MPH you can easily notice it’s going faster. So much for those expensive orange batteries, never again. Ovonic is now my Go-To and first choice battery pack for any RC, and I highly recommend them to anyone starting out or looking to add to their collection. I used to pay 2-3 times as much for so called smart batteries, that are not even as good as these Ovonic batteries. Don’t make the mistake i did of paying for a popular brand name. These deliver.

I fly freestyle fpv and have been using Ovonic batteries since the ZMR250 was king. This is my go-to pack size and C rating for my 5". They charge fast, discharge faster, and never go flat on a hard pullout. The leads are short to keep out of the props and the connector is a well soldered xt-60. I get 5+ min of HARD flying with 1550s and barely 4 on 1300s. Plus I don't see any additional weight difference when flying. Ovonics are king and will continue to put out the best packs you can get for just a few bucks. Highly Recommended!

I just did another review and the title was "I love Ovonic lipo's" I must have 20 of these batteries and never had a bit of problem with any of them. I like this stubby configuration for RC airplanes because you can really move their location being short we are using the battery to adjust your center of gravity versu, the long thin ones.

WHY. The 1500 4s is the most common battery I fly mainly because in most cases it provides the best value for performance. When you compare the power you get for size. 3S and 4S are about the same cost at the 1500mah capacity and 1500 4S is a better value than 2200 4S. Where does this 1550 4s from Ovonic fit in? I’d say at the higher end of the price point. INITIAL IMPRESSIONS I have a lot of OVONIC batteries, 2S all the way up to 8S, and they are all good quality. This 4S 1550 is no different. It arrived at storage voltage and all cells were balanced around 3.8 volts. Good balance and power leads, although the balance leads were a little short in my opinion. I’m mainly using this is in a FPV plane so the 120C rating is not all that much of an advantage here as I’m only pulling about 25 amps max. PROS Well balanced cells at 3.8v Good balance leads Good power leads XT-60 Low voltage sag (at least on my plane) CONs Balance lead is a little short OVERALL I have no performance or quality issues with this battery. I do question the current price point of $34 for one battery (as of 2025/01/31). For comparison, Ovonic sells two 4S 1500 120C batteries with XT60 connectors for $37. I really couldn’t tell the difference between these batteries other than this one 50mah bigger. I got his battery as part of the vine program, if I had not, I would not have picked this battery, I would have gone for the two pack of 4S 1500 120C batteries from OVONIC for $37 which in my opinion is a better value.

I ran this in my scratch build airplane recently and it's a solid performer. I run a 2807 1100KV motor with a 10" propeller and I could not feel any major sag doing super aggressive climbs or takeoffs. Run time is comparable to other similar sized batteries I run. Great budget option for something that doesn't need a massive amount of current.

This battery is well constructed, provides ample power, and performs greatly with my FPV build. The battery charges quickly, doesn't overheat, and is really easy to store given its small size.

Worked great in my Turbo Timber Evolution. Want a plane with a 3-ish minute flight time but flies like an absolutely weightless kite? This is the perfect battery for it. It weighs nothing compared to the 3k-5k batteries I'd normally put in my TTE.

I have a few small and power hungry RC cars and these batteries are great! They put out tons of power and last a decent amount of time. They are packaged well and should hold up to crashes that will inevitably happen. I like them a lot.
