Nice quality beads, consistent sizing. Perfect summer holiday time filler for the kids. My daughter and her friend have already spent so much time making bracelets together, and there's still loads of beads left for more. Good value for money and a nice range of colours to choose from.

Great selection

First things first - this promotes the kit as being Glass Beads. I am pretty sure off their weight alone that these are an extruded acrylic but most likely a moulded resin rather than glass. Especially as I had a couple of beads that were stuck together but I could easily cut them apart using my craft knife. It is nice to have something a bit larger than the usual tiny beads as they make good accents if you are making a woven bead piece or on embroidery. I am working on a beaded mat - for no other reason than I want to - and these make a really good way of getting some additional texture and a bit of differentiation between areas - especially as I am trying to create some interlocked triangles. The kit comes with the standard clear plastic "thread" that these kits always have for making bracelets and that is so hard to tie off. There is also a second smaller spool of a thread that is more like dental floss in appearance and stretch that would be good for necklaces or earrings - something that does not inherently need much stretch. The case has catches on three sides and the compartments have recesses in the lid so it closes good and firmly - leaves me thinking I would be unlikely to spill these all over the inside of my beading totebag. It really does need some jewellery findings included - particularly clasps and jump rings for finishing bracelets and necklaces off. Whilst there is a decent amount of stretch in the clear "thread" it will eventually break and then the beads will scatter, and it is hard to tie off neatly and effectively as it really does want to unravel. Good kit if you just want the beads. If you want this to add to a stash of rainy day activities then you will find you need additional bits and pieces to go with it.

Lovely gift at Christmas. My granddaughter is just beginning to make bracelets and was delighted with these.
