They each ate a can of this for dinner and, unlike usual, finished it all. Then they did it the next night. And the next night. It's been a month of Royal Canin. They no longer barf up dinner, and when it is dinner time, they beg for the stuff. However, they will only eat the sliced version. This also comes in a "loaf" version, which is really only RC's marketing term for the standard pate. The cats despise pate and won't even eat the Royal Canin version. Yes, this IS expensive, but as other customers pointed out, it's worth it. I don't have to throw out uneaten cat food and I'm no longer risking breaking my neck slipping in cat barf. And, if you think the desertcart price is expensive, try buying it at a local pet store. I have looked around for a cheaper price and locally, it runs 20 to 40% more. Since I now know the cats will eat it, I plan to go ahead and subscribe for a discount. Update: After four weeks my finicky felines grew bored with this and quit eating it. Based on the advice of another reviewer, I just switched to something else for two days, and now they will eat it again. If you lay in a long term supply of this, keep a few cans of other brands/flavors to switch out now and then. Review: My kitty was diagnosed with pancreatitis around a year ago when he was 2, after we notice he was vomiting bile/yellowish fluid and losing weight. My vet suggested we try this food, which has really helped! We've definitely noticed a decrease in vomiting. We pair this with the Royal Canin Sensitive Digestion dry food, which my kitty loves as well. They had prescribed the med that helps the intestine to contract but after a few months of the following diet I was able to ween her off. I now feed her this (I add a pinch of Miralax and mix it in) 1/2 can each morning and night along with Vet prescribed Royal Canin Gastrointestinal Fiber Response dry cat food (I probably shouldn't but give her free range to eat). She has not had any issues now for three years and will be 14 in May. Since we could never figure out the cause of the issue I also cut out the manufactured cat treats (at the time I was giving her the dehydrated chicken treats) Now I only occasionally give her table food treats which would be a lick of ice cream, small pinch of cheese or bacon. I hug her extra tight every day because I really thought I was going to lose her. This has helped give me many healthy years. Another plus since the change in her diet it cleared up her dandruff issue. **Q: Need to buy one can to see if our cat will eat it before we buy a case. The good thing is that he eats it all, very rapidly. So if we need to take off or do something, we're not waiting around half a day for him to finish.
