Read the curing instructions. Said only have to remove the stem at the base of the gourd. A plus! Last gourd I ordered had to be scraped clean of fruit flesh…ughs! Not so this time. I am surprised and thankful!! I don’t think the filter of the Bombilla is removable. But a good flushing will work between uses. All in all… I’m pleased!!
