Perfect for a technofobe!
Got this for my mam who really liked her HP Chromebook, but has failed after only a couple of years. She really likes that it's simple to use, doesn't have the clutter of windows PC architecture and is simple to navigate. Hopefully lasts longer than the HP one, but she really loves that the keyboard can be unclipped and the unit can just be used as a tablet for when she sits browsing the web. As a person who didn't use a computer only a few years ago, she has really come on a long way since using chrome.

Does not run apps and you have to have an internet connection
Great machine but as this does not run apps and has to be connected to the internet to run things. I realised I would not be able to download suff on Spotify and BBC iPlayer to then watch and listen to when flying or when I don't have an internet connection.

Great deal
Review after 2 weeks of use. Ideal for my needs, compact and lightweight, easy to take with you. At the same time it's almost as powerful as a standard laptop, with tons of apps, built-in Linux that you can turn into a legit dev environment, especially when plugged into some docking station with extra monitors and legit keyboard. ChromeOS starts in seconds and is very stable. There's some random glitches here and there in some apps but it's still 10x better than Windows. It works in 2 modes, the tablet and laptop modes, the stylus pen is OK, but I still prefer the touchpad or just fingers for most of stuff, for drawing stylus does the job very well. In the laptop mode with the keyboard attached you need to be aware it is only losely attached and there's only one screen position to work with, that is with the folio stand, it's not adjustable as in a normal laptop. It's still OK to use it on your laps though. I bought the used - like new deal, zero signs of use, I highly recommend.

Its Great but is it what you need?
I come from a world where I already have far too many devices already. A 15" i3 chromebook. Android 11" Xiamoi tablet M1 Mac Mini with huge screen Windows i7 laptop 15" Android phone and iphone. But I really wanted a small Chromebook. (Here in the UK they just dont exist!) So what do I think of this? Well... I can see this being either the most used or the least used device I have. For office work, my mac mini connected to a huge monitor wins hands down (but of course it is not portable) For work work I "have to" use a Windows laptop and iphone. I dont like Windows and the battery life is awful. Of course iphones and Android phones do what they do. For watching youtube videos and sports etc whilst on the train, the 11" Android tablet is the best device. For working on the move the Chromebook i3 is my favourite device. So where does this fit? Well it does all of them, just not quite as well. I have the Kompanio 838 with 8Gb Duet 3. Its easy to get lost in the specs, but in reality any 8gb Chromebook with a half decent processor will seem fast. The good: Its very light and portable. It will be awesome for travelling. The screen is clear and goes very bright The battery is decent (better than all of the other devices on the list) The tablet mode is kinda cool in landscape, having a mobile device that runs chrome OS I really like. Being able to run Android Apps that replicates my tablet Its easy to setup and boots in seconds. Its very good value for money. The attached pen is cool and stays in place. The bad: The keyboard is small and spongy The keyboard attachment feels very flimsy and could fall off at any time. You cant use it in bed as a chromebook. when i remove the keyboard I dont know what to do with it. The biggest one though is Its small (I know that should not be a surprise) I get lost between using the touch screen and track pad. Its like my brain cant process whether this is a tablet or chromebook. I need to give this a good review because it is good, its just I dont know how much I will use it compared to my other devices. Weirdly I think you could train yourself to use this. ChromeOS is good for being able to duplicate displays, sliding around tabs and using shortcuts for working on a small screen. I may come back here in 6 months time saying this is the best device of all. But I could also return having left it in a drawer and not touched.

Great travel tech.
This is my first Chromebook. I normally use a MacBook Pro and Google is our organisations ecosystem. I wanted something lighter and more travel friendly, mostly aimed at browsing and writing. I've had it for a couple of months now and it's been fantastic. Great battery life really easy to use and, at a push, it can do some of the harder jobs like editing a big slide deck.

good for daily use, kickstand is odd
It took just 2 nites n 3 days to receive this in JPN. Depends on the country, this is sold w/ or w/o stylus pen and some options worldwide (amazon.co.ca sold with dock and headset!, amazon.co.jp sold this alone w/o stylus pen and listed the highest price at that time). My want is Eng kbd w/ stylus pen and amazon.co.uk listed best among the e-stores available. Lid-on was active and the first-time-wizzard ran upon open, while I had to set up the WiFi manually, clicking the icon at the rite bottom. When WiFi was on, date n time r set automatically, the wizzard suggested me to import my Google account, and everythings ready incl the update of Android OS (as this is of 2024) in 15min. Everything incls my account info, preference, WiFi connection list, and so on. Funny was I took 20min to set the film on the screen and I finally gave up. Of course IdeaPad runs smooth enough. No freezing for a moment when YouTube, Microsoft365, and some more are on the run. If you have an Android cellular, better have iPad than this. 4k? Our eyes cannot recognize that hi-res in 11inch small screen. This IdeaPad fits nicely vertically in my bag and I feel much better than bringing Lenovo Yoga (14inch and double-sized) in my bag. That was really the exersize. https://amzn.asia/d/bn4fhBm fits perfect to this w/ stylus pen and the pocket can hold smaller and more powerful adapter than that of the attached https://amzn.asia/d/2HhlV69 good. Just one thing to point is, kickstand is odd and stable only when fully open. In the other aspects, this is totally ordinary and will satisfy your daily demand.

It's good! Top spec package. Coming from Duet 5 GOAT.
It's good with 8Gb and Pen at this price! Coming from a duet 5 8gb which still runs perfectly and reading some reviews I was concerned... Streamiing music screen off or other low power activities the thing might make 24hrs. Battey life. Productivity tasks and AI has been good. I expected worse from some reviews. Pen - and magnetic mount is very good, you don't need a mouse. I'm adapting to the keyboard layout differences. It's a nugget but it's compact. If a 13 was an option in 2025 I'd have picked that - but this takes up less bed side and is reasonably good on the lap or bed. At the price you must get 8gb and pen currently nothing to compare it to but memories and hopes of a 13" update. Recommend this top spec at this price the price and years of support on offer.

Ladegerät mit UK-Stecker
Das Ladegerät wurde mit englischem Stecker geliefert, d.h. man muss sich noch einen Adapter oder eben das dt. Kabel besorgen. Nicht gerade zielführend. Ansonsten alles o.k.

Was für eine Entäuschung. Nichtmal Gemini funktioniert richtig.
Note 6!
