30 fires YOU need to know about
Wow, this is a must read. Chief Leeb and Chief Goldfeder have compiled an impressive analysis of 30 major fires that have changed the fire service. They present each fire in factual manner first and then analyze the lessons that can be taken from the incidents. Learning how firefighters died is the most important step you can take to protect your members and yourself.

Good lessons for firefighters.
I use this to supplement the training at the firehouse. The stories are interesting. I have set it up so that on the calendar the day coincides with the incident

Amazing lessons to be learned for first responders
Bought this book for myself and quickly realized how much it would benefit the command folks at our local fire department. Bought three more copies.

Use better sources next time
This book would’ve been much better if they used contributions from those actually associated with the fires. Even the most recent fire in there, “The Ghost ship fire” in Oakland should have used contributions from command staff or officers and firefighters at the fire. Not chief who came from the east coast to be the department chief after the fire and then left for the private sector almost immediately. That chief had nothing to do with the fire or hardly the department for that matter.-Use better sources next time.
