There are several factors that contribute to the shipping rates. Our orders are shipped from Canada via Canada Post and delivered into the hands of USPS which delivers the packages to our customers. Canada Post rates are significantly higher than USPS rates. Secondly, the rates are calculated not only on the actual weight of a package but by the volumetric weight (the size of the box the unit is shipped in). Postal carriers will always charge whichever is greater. This means a shipment that doesn’t weigh much but is in a larger box due to the size of the product can result in a higher shipping cost. We always use the smallest possible box for shipping to minimize any volumetric adjustments. In addition, with Amazon we can only enter so much information for shipping rates – so shipping charges are based on furthest destination in USA. Ordering directly from us, may result in a lower shipping rate as we are able to process orders based on actual destination.

Hello Penny! Thanks for the questions. Hertz (Hz) is a measurement of frequency (cycles/ second). Tesla, like Gauss, is for measuring the strength of a magnetic field. We measure the strength of the Magnetic Pulser at the paddle face in Gauss. Our Magnetic Pulser outputs a minimum of 6,000 Gauss at the face of the paddle, which equals 0.6 Tesla. As a frame of reference, 10,000 Gauss = 1 Tesla.

Hertz (Hz) is only applicable to PEMF devices that are AC-frequency based. The SOTA Magnetic Pulser is unique among most PEMF units, in that it has a DC based output (not AC-frequency based).

AC units will almost always have a lower Gauss output since their output is continuous. In contrast, DC units, such as the SOTA Magnetic Pulser, build up a charge, and then release it into the coil, generating an intense DC magnetic field. In this way, the SOTA Magnetic Pulser is able to achieve very high Gauss outputs, and therefore, a deeper penetration of up to nine inches.

The author you mention is talking about PEMF units that are AC-frequency based and almost always have a very low output. Our unit is designed to generate microcurrents and to do this it needs to have a very high Gauss output.
