This is the first time I've tried a murder mystery case file and this was a really good introduction. The contents are good quality, the only issue we had was so much being on shiny paper, it was difficult for both of us to see the information at the same time because the light was reflecting off it for one of us. The puzzles were easy enough for younger players while it was still engaging enough for adults. The online elements were just enough and enhanced the gameplay rather than detracting from it. Good value for money would definitely buy another one.

Fantastic addition to game night hours of fun

Bought the Lucky Egg Murder Mystery Case File – Murder of an Activist as something a bit different for an evening in, and it turned out to be great couples entertainment. The game gives you a full case file with evidence, clues, and bits of information to work through as you try to figure out what actually happened. It feels a bit like running your own miniature detective investigation from the kitchen table. It’s a fun mix of teamwork and debate as you both start forming theories, examining the evidence, and occasionally becoming very confident about conclusions that turn out to be completely wrong. One unexpected side effect is that you also discover which one of you would probably be considered the prime suspect if something mysterious ever happened in real life… purely based on investigative logic, of course. Add a glass of wine and it becomes a really enjoyable evening activity — part puzzle, part detective drama, and part friendly interrogation.

Bought this for my boyfriend for Christmas! This is the first one we have ever done and had it solved in an hour! Will purchase another with a harder solve score. Product looks great, lots of pictures/items etc I would recommend

Best one I’ve done for a while! Really well made

This Murder Mystery was really good fun. The 3 x envelopes had so many clues and pieces of evidence - it gave hints that you could access through QR Code when needed - The story line had twists and turns and only revealed itself at the very last minute! Myself and my daughter love solving mysteries and this was definitely worth it! Took us about 3 hours to complete. Already looking for our next case!

Love these I've had a few now worth the money

I usually do these by myself. I usually get the cryptic ones which i thoroughly enjoy. I decided to get Lucy egg Vatican one. It is fun for someone who hasn’t done these before. For me, it seemed like the “evidence” was thrown in just to make the number of evidence high so it can be on the picture. The case didn’t have much “oomph” in it. Some characters are in without strong relation or part. I managed to solve in in few hours with the comment “not great but connect this this this, and this is a killer” Lucky egg needs to write these properly as a story then go back and see what evidence from the story can be taken. Yes it’s only few hours but strong story and relation matters.

This game was AWESOME! This was my first murder mystery game of its kind, and I LOVED it! It was challenging, but not impossible, and I was super impressed by the quality of the materials. I bought another similar game from this same company, but this one has been my favorite so far. I played as a single player, and it took me well over 3 hours to solve--but I did really get into the nitty gritty: even kept a notebook like a real detective. LOL. If you like crime drama, forensics, and solving puzzles, you will love this game!

This is excellent!! I was very surprised. My son was on crutches for the Summer and we were looking for sat down activities - this was brilliant. Clever - great materials - intuitive - easy to use - hard to crack etc - can’t recommend highly enough

Fun cheap way to spend time with family! We had to put some effort into this one to get everything exactly right but it was well worth it and it’s definitely not obvious! The twist is really interesting. It’s not too hard as long as you can look past obvious details. :)

This was a really fun game to play. Plan an evening and get a group of friends together to solve the mystery.
