Our MAc does not support to read DVD-RW. But how can we set to record to DVD-R?

The question doesn't seem to be about the Funai recorder (my Funai is currently on its last legs and the remote is giving up the ghost and it stopped being able to record to DVD some time ago), but seems to be about a Mac computer. Since Macintosh introduced USB ports about 10 years ago, Macs have been able to cope with all sorts of external DVD USB players and recorders. As these are so relatively cheap (from c. £20), have a look at what is on offer on Amazon. If you have a Funai recorder and it is still working, consider yourself lucky: I don't think that they were built to last.

Does this machine have a digital tuner

Does a remote come with the machine and can it record using VHS?

It comes with a remote and records on VHS and DVD and will copy one to the other.  However it cannot receive digital transmissions so you will need a digital transformer to record live TV, and my machine lasted less than 12 months.

Can you dub between the 3.i.e. hdd/dvd/vcr?

Accepted Answer

You could (the machine is now long gone) BUT if it discovered any Macrovision Copy Protection it would simply shut down with a copyright warning. This was present on most commercial DVDs and VHS pre-recorded tapes. It could only dub freely with home-recorded material.
