Better than many expensive options
I am shocked at how good this mineral sunscreen is. I am a mineral sunscreen junkie and have so many expensive ($50+ a bottle) high end versions. I have fair/light combo skin and hate greasy, pasty sunscreen. This mineral sunscreen rubs in quickly and isn’t greasy. It out performs MANY high end sunscreens. I love that it has 19% zinc (substantial compared to some others) and is waterproof 80 mins. One thing I found interesting (and awesome) is that iron oxide is listed (last) in the ingredients, which means it has a *very* slight tint. Iron oxide is shown to help block visible/blue light which can be important to people like me with discoloration. This sunscreen is pretty robust for a “basic” drugstore brand. The color is more of a (very pale yellow almost?) off white, not stark white, I think due to the iron oxide listed. I wouldn’t call it tinted, but at least it’s better than paper white sunscreen. In comparison to other thick, heavy, greasy stark white mineral sunscreens, this one is a breeze to rub in! I cannot find anywhere if this sunscreen is nano or non nano, so that’s something to take into consideration if you care, which I really do not. If nano sunscreen is a big concern of yours I would reach out to banana boat to confirm. I purchased this so I don’t have to use my expensive face mineral sunscreens on my body but shockingly this may end up being my new favorite mineral face sunscreen. It isn’t drying on me personally (combo skin leaning oily) and it also wore fine under makeup. The finish is a soft satin after dried down. I’m pretty blown away! It preformed perfect at the pool, even in humidity. I will most likely repurchase. I’m glad to not have to repurchase the more expensive MDSolar science mineral sunscreen I was previously using on my body. I purchased with my own money no paid review! 10 out of 10 for the value and performance from me!!!

Move over blue lizzard and babo
I like this formulation. It is mineral based spf and rubs in very well. There is a very light white cast when applied on my face, but it dissipates after rubbing the product. It is also non-greasy. I have dry skin. I still use light moisturizer first before applying the product. I also did not break out or have any redness on my sensitive face. The product also rubs well all over the body. Unlike other mineral based, this spf does not give you that white paint on first application. I also use this on my toddler on face and body after lotion on face and body. This will now be our staple spf.

Good but left white cast on my skin
Overall, I bought this because of the zinc oxide; it is very easy to use, no strong odor, non-sticky. However, it still left white cast on my face. (The intensity of the white cast is still lower compared to other more expensive brand.)

Great product, not the best packaging
Glad I got this. Just returned from a two-week dive trip in the Caribbean. Lots of sun of course! I applied this product on my face and neck prior to first and 2nd dives - I never burned. I'm fair skinned but not a magnet for sun burns. I did not have a prior base that I can speak of. The product works well, and blends into your skin fairly quickly, avoiding the white out from other mineral products. Downside - the container has some type of flow restriction. This had the effect of periodically not letting product out and then spurting out all of a sudden. Not sure if a dud, but except for that I would say absolutely I'd buy again.

Good sunscreen
Good sunscreen at a good price. Not sticky or runny and also does not leave a major white residue like most mineral sunscreen do.

The finish is fabulous
I only use mineral sunscreens because I use tretinoin and have mature, sensitive skin. Pros -Spreads easily. Is like the viscosity of chemical sunscreens. Most are thick as toothpaste -19% high zinc content as sole sun blocking agent -scent is light and dissipates when dry -finish is sophisticated, very light and nearly undetectable. Great under foundation -cast is very slight. Almost none. I had to double check with my UV camera to make sure I had enough on Cons -burns like the devil on application. Post shower and with a light snail mucin essence was so intense I washed it off. I had to wait about 10 mins to dry skin a little before trying again. And the patience was worth it. For the price you can’t beat this finish - it’s almost like a serum mineral spf formula or Korean gel (but mineral, not chemical) like Biore the famous OG one. If your skin isn’t sensitive this might be a ball park winner for you!

New formula No white cast and blends perfectly matte
I’ve been using the original Sensitive Mineral and yes it leaves a white cast but it’s thick and mineral and I love it. I would put moisturizer, primer and foundation and my rest of my makeup over it with no issues. But this new Mineral Formula is nothing like original. It’s clear and smoothed very easy. But it burned. Whatever they’re using it burned my skin & original sensitive did not burn my skin. The new formula dries semi matte and doesn’t leave no greasy or oily feel which I love. I don’t like sunblocks that are designed for face but are greasy, this is perfect and not greasy. But something burned. I will continue to use and see if my skin adjust since I love the finish of this new formula. Just hope it stops burning eventually. I’m hoping my skin is just sensitive and will adjust.

Great for sensitive skin
This is the only sunscreen I use on my child who has very sensitive skin. With normal sunscreen he gets an itchy rash that appears about 6-12 hrs after application and lasts for several days. We have no reaction with this sunscreen so that’s great. It doesn’t rub in completely but it’s a zinc based sunscreen so that’s pretty normal this type of sunscreen. I also feel like this has so few ingredients it’s not cancer causing but I’m not a 100% sure on that. We re-apply every 2-3 hrs and have used this at the beach and in high elevation areas (5300ft above sea level) and have not gotten burned, so I think it works pretty well for the spf.
