Wow, this seasoning blend was sure a life saver as I was trying to think of something good for dinner last night and I remembered I had this in my cabinet. Because of this spice I think I have made some of the best fish tacos that I have ever had. I mean I really was just this seasoning with the fish in a skillet and oil and then in a soft taco with toppings and Bam! What an awesome flavor combination. The chili and lime flavors really came through. It was a little on the salty side but not too much. I love that the container that it came in has a nice shaker so it was easy to distribute over the fish while cooking in the cast iron skillet. This would absolutely be wonderful on some fresh corn on the cob sprinkled with this and some butter. The flavor profile of this is really just fresh and great and you can tell all the ingredients are high quality and fresh.⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ (5 Stars): An excellent brand and product, offering great value.⭐⭐⭐⭐ (4 Stars): Really good, with minor imperfections.⭐⭐⭐ (3 Stars): Average—solid but not outstanding.⭐⭐ (2 Stars): Has some issues worth noting.⭐ (1 Star): Avoid at all costs!

I use a lot of finishing salts and this one is pretty different versus many others. This salt is perfect for grilled fish, or added to Air Fryer fried fish (before the panko is added). We also love it on grilled prawns or shrimp. Or, our fave, sprinkled on top of sour cream when we have chili or nachos.What’s interesting about this salt is that it has crushed chili flakes, vs. the chili being infused into the salt itself. This makes the salt have an interesting texture and look. The taste is briny, and can taste “not at all spicy”, to “somewhat spicy”, depending on if you get a bite of a chili flake or not. This salt is not flakey, but is a small “crushed” salt in terms of texture.I did not really get any lime taste, but I think it’s basically impossible to get a Natural bright citrus taste in a salt. I’m glad Burlap and Barrel did not resort to adding a different ingredient to try to pump up the lime taste.

Burlap and Barrel single origin spices Herbes De Provence is a good herb blend. It contains Rosemary, savory, oregano and thyme. The herb blend taste fresh , I used on chicken and as a salad topper and I like the flavor. It does taste different then other Herbs De Provence I have used it is missing fennel, lavender, marjoram, parsley and tarragon. To me this is more of a Italian blend of herbs. It is non gmo and made with no fillers, country of origin is USA .It comes in a glass jar to preserve freshness. A tasty herb blend but I would not say this is a Herbes De Provence blend

I received “Burlap & Barrel Black Lime & Chili Salt - As Seen on Shark Tank!- Savory, Tart, Mildly Spicy - Seasoning Salt for Seafood, Salads & Grilling - 3.0 oz Glass Jar.” The jar came with a plastic seal that was easy to remove. The lid is made of metal. Inside there is a plastic layer with holes in it that allows better control over the flow of the salt. The salt has a rich, savory smell. The flavor is amazing. It’s salty, but it also has a variety of subtle spices that add some heat. I was not familiar with Urfa chili, silk chili, or cobanero chili, so I did some research. Apparently, Urfa chili is made from a Turkish red pepper known for its complex flavor. Complex is definitely how I would describe the flavor of this salt. Silk chili is also from Turkey. Cobanero chilis have been grown in Guatemala since Mayan times. All in all, this salt is much more flavorful and interesting than I had expected.

I ordered this and, out of curiosity, I watched the Shark Tank for Burlap & Barrel. I was really impressed with their business model and how it helps offer more for independent farmers. That in itself is commendable but once you consider that they use some of the freshest crops and work directly with the farmers, the price is actually more than fair. I love the vision and, of course, I love the herb mix too.This has a neat mix of herbs that go beautifully with meats, fish and even vegetables for us. It has pretty recognizable ingredients in rosemary, thyme, and oregano. I don't know exactly what savory is but I know that I don't hate its inclusion because the flavor is on point. A little goes a long way with this one.I would highly recommend watching their TV appearance and definitely recommend trying it out for your home cooked meals.

Five Spice is a staple in our house as we do a lot of Asian-style cooking with shrimp, chicken, noodles, rice, etc. I had just finished my last container recently and hadn't been able to find any in the store locally so when I saw this I jumped at the chance to try a 'Shark Tank' product. I usually have Chinese Five Spice so this Vietnamese one is a little different but still awesome. Five spice is a must in fried rice and noodles in our house. But you can also use it in your stirfry and other dishes. The price point seems a little high but it is sustainably sourced and produced and this will last you forever as you don't use much each time.

There are many different blends of Herbes de Provence that include a variety of different herbs so the choice of herbs in this well known blend is really a chef's choice. However, this blend is simple: rosemary, savory, oregano and thyme. Other blends may include lavender, marjoram, parsley and many other herbs. However, I really like this simplified blend of four herbs, it seems very fresh, is super fragrant and goes so well with so many dishes. One of my favorites is adding this to eggs, it adds such a delightful flavor.This is a well made and blended product, I love the farm to table aspect where the source and farmers are known so the product remains true to blend. I also prefer this blend to two others I have in my kitchen, its freshness and flavor make it a stand out.
