My favorite pocket light.

I bought an Archer Pro V2 not long ago, and was so impressed with the light I decided to purchase another like it. The Archer Pro S is very similar but has a few differences. It's max brightness rating in Turbo mode (1459 lumens) is higher than that of the V2 (950). The S also uses a different lens and reflector that give it a bit of useful spill off to the sides. The V2 acts more like a spotlight, with almost no spill to the sides. This means that while the V2 might have a little greator reach, the S delivers a very useful light at near to medium distances. The S also has the brighter light in strobe mode. The form factors for the two are basically identical. The S has a button that is flattened somewhat compared to the V2, so it's somewhat less likely to get turned on accidentally while in your pocket. The two lights also operate identically, with the same lockout, firefly, and strobe modes, and both lights engage Turbo mode with a double-click. They both are sealed with an O-ring, and unscrewing the reflectors reveals the USB-C charging ports. Unlike the V2, the charge light on the S illuminates whenever the light is turned on, giving you some idea of the state of charge. Both lights are ruggedly built and not terribly expensive. I wish that the batteries were replaceable though.

Great little flashlight, nice bright centre and a wide spill. Careful is can turn on whilst sitting if clipped to jeans.

The Pro S is now my favourite flashlight replacing the Thrunite Archer 2A V3. My number one reason is the one-button operation. I love that you can instantly access the brightest setting (called Turbo mode) with a double-click. You can instantly access the lowest setting (called firefly mode) with a long-click. A normal-click gets you to the last adjustable mode you set (called infinity mode). The specs say it's ~3 times as many lumens as the 2A, which I have no way of verifying, but it is significantly brighter. The two-way clip is a great feature that allows for pockets, belts, hats. The smaller size makes it a little more vulnerable to dropping, and there is no lanyard included or provision for one. You need to be aware the Pro S has a non-replaceable/rechargeable battery. As we all know battery health diminishes over time and use. I've seen multiple reviews that say it stopped working shortly after purchase and then they describe exactly what happens if you engage the Lock-out mode. For me the Pros outweigh the Cons. I'm very happy with my purchase.
