I showed my husband this ledger I purchased to keep track of our purchases. I am the person responsible for keeping track of all our finances. When I showed him this book he said one of the laboratories he use to work in used this exact ledger. Not sure what for, although I do know his work in the chemical/pharmaceutical industry requires keeping track of records for audits.

**Q: What are he column headings and how many columns are there?**
A: There are eight (8) columns without any column headings.  I would classfy this particular journal as more of an accounting ledger.  I hope this helps.

A: Good afternoon,
The only difference between the journal and ledger books is that the Journal doesn't have an index in the front of the book. The ruling is the same for a journal and a ledger, not exactly sure why but it is that way industry wide.  Probably it is something that was done a hundred years ago and just stayed that way.

Great for accounting to keep business records up to date. It has plenty of room to write things clearly without having to cram it all in. Columns are wide enough and lots of pages for my needs. It is hard covered and the pages are well bound, numbered, and won't fall out.
