It looks and feels like a real screw going through my ear. It’s a little heavy but not too heavy and that’s part of what makes it feel like a real screw. The part that goes through the ear was hard to twist together when it was in my ear at first but I easily got used to it, it was more of my fingers getting used to the motion. Same with it actually going through my ear. It was slightly bigger than the earrings I’m used to wearing but my ears adjusted well (probably because I recently got them pierced). The only warning I would give to buyers is be careful because you have a sharp object near your neck at all times when you’re wearing it but in my opinion that’s common sense anyway.
