Penlaser Digital Mini 50 Ft Laser Distance Meter Measure Pen With Laser Pointer, Packed in PU Case, For Home DIY

As with any digital measuring device, I was skeptical at first. However, once I began using the device, I felt more comfortable with the measurements. I did check the accuracy with a known distance (measured by manual tape) and the penlaser digital meter was right on the money. My father just purchased a building for his retirement hobby (selling 74 years of collected junk) and he mentioned that he needed to measure the internal dimensions for cabinets and storage. I broke out the pen laser and within a few minutes we had the building dimensions, including the angled ceiling (added storage so dad can break a hip climbing). I have to say that I am very impressed with the penlaser measuring tool and total accuracy. I would definitely recommend this product for the hobbyist, the professional, and retirees looking for adventure, like my dad.One item of note: when reading the digital indicator, the distance measured includes the length of the penlaser device. Instructions are not clear on this point, however the instructions do provide the penlaser dimensions.Pros:Sturdy, well made and designedEasy to read indicatorBright backlit display.Easy operation.Very nice carry case.Cons:Battery operated - needs USB charging.Instructions need to specify laserpen length in is included in measurement displayed.Laser pointer is nice but not necessary. The one I received is very accurate, to the point I would need more precise tools than a measuring tape or yard stick to compare against. It is also nice that it saves the last measurement you take with it for a few minutes, just long enough to get to your lumber. Sadly you still need a conventional tape measure to transfer that measurement to a board.It loses one star for the difficulty in using it. It can be difficult to hold at a perfect right angle and confirm the dot is where you want it and take a measurement while on a ladder or in an awkward position, which can happen a lot doing home projects. It also came with a separate laser pointer. This laser pointer works but otherwise has no purpose that I can find. I would have much preferred some sort of plastic angle than would hold the laser 90 degrees out from a wall to make measuring easier.For the price, can't really go wrong.

The device works as it should. It can even change the measurements from the imperial to the metric system by just leaving the on button pressed for 3 seconds but when I first tried the measurements were not working properly. I found out that I had to add the distance of the device in some cases which, thankfully, it is in the back of it. By adding that distance, again only in some cases that depend on where you position the device, I got the correct measurement. I just had to adapt myself to the way it works and it is and incredibly useful tool! It also includes a case and a laser pointer (No idea why but love those things anyway!)

This is the best purchase that I made recently!It has good casing, easy to carry, user-friendly, also it has an additional laser pan come with the package to help with better use this product.Sometimes I buy something on Amazon because I attracted by the fancy marketing pics and when I receive the real item, got disappointed. The quality maybe color are totally different with description. But this one is absolutely fancy as the picture shows.I'm not really a review writing person, but this product really helps me a! lot!If you have any request to measure short/mid distance, it's a perfect item you need to buy!

The supplied batteries died immediately. The on/off switch seems to not always respond. The laser pointer is pretty useless as the switch on it is horrible, but I didn't buy it for the laser pointer.I guess this is just another example of you get what you paid for.It does measure distances pretty well, but I feel like I have to fight it to even turn on.

I’ve always been disappointed in the quality of cat lasers so I wanted to appropriate a more industrial laser. The mini laser in this pack is awesome - super durable, ergonomic shape, and great output brightness. The keychain gets them super excited too. The main distance measure laser is really cool too but I don’t have any use for a laser ruler so it’s just sitting in my garage for now.

I've used high-end laser measures at a previous job and fell in love with them. I no longer have a need to measure 250' so this is more than adequate. It'd definitely accurate, but you always have to be on the left side of it to read it right-side up, which is mildly annoying. You cannot see the laser dot outside beyond 7'-9' but indoors it's nice & bright. I'm amazed by how cheap this was, it comes in a decent case, the regular laser pointer feel sturdy as hell, and it even came with a cute li'l thank you card. LoL! Anyone who gave bad reviews had some bad luck and probably got a better replacement; no complaints here. Yet. haha

I bought this for a birthday present for my son, he’s a contractor. He kind of laughed and said he’d seen those at Lowe’s and they were $90. He didn’t ask and I didn’t say I paid way less. Since it came with batteries he popped them in and stared measuring everything in the restaurant. He didn’t have a tape to compare it too but he said it seems “right on the money”
