Clarence Court Old Cotswold Legbar Free Range Eggs

Good taste and no smell compared to other eggs.

These stunning pastel-coloured beauties are lovely (normally) free range eggs. They tend to be larger than the companion Burford Browns, also sold under the Clarence Court label Clarence Court Mabel Pearman's Burford Browns Free Range Eggs, 6 eggs , but, as with those, are sold as is, without any size indication. Their shells seem to be more fragile than the Burford Browns and they are more prone to crack if you are boiling them. They also have deep yellow yolks, with a lovely texture and taste. They are not organic but their hens probably fare better than many that are, technically, organic. I marginally prefer the Burford Browns, but these are also, unquestionably, a five-star product.

Nice flavour but very small eggs so have had to cook double my usual amount for breakfast. Would give 5 stars if bigger or mixed sizes as described.
