Nice beginner train set for 3 year old and up. Easy set up. Battery powered. Nice detail, fun effects with light, horn and steam. Put it under the Christmas tree.

My 19 year old kid wanted a new train for the tree as his old one died after 15 years. He loves it. It puffs out "smoke" when I put in water. He really loves it.

The train is cute and works … but not on its track. There’s no way for it to really catch and stay on the track. I would not recommend.

My 4 year old was very disappointed. It's hard to align the wheels on the track and it keeps falling off. The track is very flimsy and pulls apart easily. He loved the look of it and the steam coming out but it's a one and done train. Don't touch it after you finally have it set on the track. Sadly, this train is not for kids to play with.

Just what I want

Train would not stay on the track. But the train was cute and did play music and steam came out the top when you added water. I just wish the track was better quality so the train would stay on the track when going around.

I gave this train set to my son as a gift and we are both happy with it. The assembly was easy, my son followed the instructions step by step and didn't encounter any complications during the process, and it was assembled quickly. We just need to add a little water to the steam outlet to set the smoke effect and it will last for a long time. I appreciate that it also has realistic train sounds, that is more appealing to children. The train tracks are solidly put together and I don't worry about them unraveling easily. And the train looks well designed in detail, that is so exquisite and look very durable as well. Watching it wrap around our Christmas tree adds to the festive atmosphere and makes for a great Christmas holiday decoration.
