What's the difference between the regular 9 and the wide 9?? Is there a double wide for an already wide shoe?

I have no idea. I have a narrow foot and they were huge, from the heel to the toe box.

Toe box is roomy but my feet are very wide across the ball of my foot and the Altra wides were NOT wide enough for me, sadly

If I wear a 7.5, what size what size should I order? I do not have wide feet.

I wear a 9 or 9.5 in regular shoes. I running or hiking, I order 10.5 to 11. It depends on the shoe. My current Topos are 10.5 but other styles I need 11. It's a horrible crapshoot on sizes, especially women's, are not standardized. I ordered 16 pairs and only 2 fit.
