This cutting board is absolutely gorgeous! The pattern created by the end cut pieces of wood is almost mesmerizing. It is solidly built without a single gap in the pieces. It's rounded on the sides so no sharp edges and comes with rubber feet attached to prevent sliding when in use. But as good as it looks, it performs even better. The size was just right for me. Not too large (15"x9.5"x1.25") but large enough to handle cutting multiple items into their respective piles. The weight/thickness is great too as all you need is one hand to pick it up and slide off your cut up food. The best part is that it is all end cut pieces of larchwood. The larchwood is soft enough to take the cuts without dulling the knife but but also not show any of those cuts on the board. The wood fibers 'heal' back up making any cuts imperceptible. A couple of weeks of use and it still looks like it arrived when new. Make sure to get some wood butter to go with this too. The wood butter keeps the board in top condition and only requires a small amount once a week or so. Takes no more effort than drying it off well. This is a great value top quality board for this price and will last a very long time over plastic, bamboo and other lower quality boards. Well worth it!!

Gorgeous cutting board! It's so pretty, I almost don't want to use it :-). This is one to display on the counter! A bit pricey, but you are getting a very high-quality board. Well packaged and delivered quickly too. I love it!!

Such a beautiful cutting board. I own a handful hand forged Japanese knives and I’ve always wanted a Larchwood as softer end grain helps preserve their edge. My only regret is not buying the bigger model.

In person, it’s a masterpiece. The craftsmanship video in the description sold me. All the experience and care is so apparent immediately upon opening the box. An heirloom, just as another reviewer mentioned.

Very nice, added as a decorative to the knife holder area on the counter, even if you don’t like stuff on the counter it is one of the nicest boards in my lifetime.
