It makes a huge difference compared to the stock 850lbs shock. Now there is a lot of rear travel and makes the bike very comfortable to ride. I am 200lbs, this spring is the perfect upgrade for this full suspension mountain bike. I used the stock bolts to swap the new shock. Easy install but will need a vice grip and rubber mallet to get the bolts out of the stock shock.
