Amazing build quality, feature full.
I’ve owned a few scooters before, including Segways and Gotrax, and I’m happy to share my thoughts. This scooter is definitely a 5-star! It’s a great value for the price, around $400. I’ll go over the pros and cons, focusing on what’s great for this price range. PROS: - It’s very well-built, just like a Segway. It’s way better than a Gotrax. - You don’t have to assemble it. - The features are pretty good, but most other scooters online only have a few of these: (1) Large pneumatic tires, (2) dual braking (regenerative and drum), (3) brake light, front light, turn signal, (4) front suspension, (5) a great app to change settings and lock. (6) foldable handles - It has a small turn radius compared to Segways and Gotrax. - The handles are very tall, at 48 inches. This is the first scooter I’ve ever filled that’s the right handle height for me, being 5’10”. Quote seriously, one of the tallest scooters for under 1000. - The handles are wide because they can fold. - Great app. You can customize the regeneration, acceleration, and top speed in the app. You can also have a custom mode you can switch to by pressing the power button. CONS: - There’s no easy way to get around small obstacles like stairs. There’s no handle hook or quick folding. And it’s almost 40 lbs, which is pretty heavy. - nitpick: there’s no place to hang a bag. Often there’s a hook. - Bluetooth is a bit unstable. and you need it to unlock the scooter. (5 seoncds hold on the ower button locks the schooter) - The app is not as polished as the Segway app. Segway allows you to do more things to your scooter. - The front suspension is a bit short, I think it has only 15mm stroke. So it’s more of a gimmick. All in all. greatly recommended.

Fantastic electric scooter; worth the money.
Good power, not a huge learning curve, fantastic electric scooter. I really appreciate that you can lick it with the app and set the mode. Easy to collapse and pop back together, excellent battery life.

Nonexistent Customer Support
I ordered a NIU scooter as a birthday gift for my daughter and made sure to order early so it would arrive in time. Unfortunately, what should have been a special day turned into a major disappointment. When we unwrapped the scooter on her birthday, it had about 30% charge. She was able to take it for a short ride, but after returning it was already down to one bar. When we tried to charge it, the charger’s light never changed from green to red, and the scooter simply would not charge. I carefully followed all troubleshooting steps listed in the owner’s manual, but nothing worked. That’s when the real frustration began. Attempts to contact NIU’s customer support resulted in being placed on hold indefinitely or hung up on multiple times. I finally went through Amazon, who thankfully helped me get in touch with the company. Even then, NIU has done nothing but give me the runaround. They have refused to stand behind their product or offer a straightforward resolution. As of now, I am left with a defective scooter and a very disappointed daughter. The product failed on day one, and the customer service has been worse than the product itself. I strongly recommend avoiding this company if you value reliability, accountability, or even the most basic customer support.

k100f
NIU K100F. range is only 9 miles at full speed cruise control. wrecked and fell a few times. riding it in the rain and low puddles seem fine. no noticeable changes in charging or range, pretty consistent. at 5 miles, the battery shows right below 50% , 3 bars out of 5 bars used , 2 bars left. the app is useless and only shows kilometers. the k100f is pretty smooth, and rock solid, and lightweight. the lights are good. the turn signal buttons are in a very weird placement, so I never use it, even though it's pretty cool. if it's $300 it's worth it.

Perfect
I’ve had it for a little while now and it is awesome. You don’t have to have minimum speed before it will activate everything works as it should. Very sturdy and definitely an adult size. Battery last as advertised.

Its alright - some issues - not bad
I’m a student who chose to spend the price of a semester of parking for this e-scooter .This was my first electric scooter and after a few months of everyday ish use (mon-thu) , here’s my experience with the niu 100f : - Since it folds, it fits in my trunk (18 accord) and I’m able to take it into some restaurants if it’s not very busy and fold it /place it under the table since there’s hardly any bike racks near them. It’s pretty fast to fold and unfold - Charging doesn’t take that long , I leave it charging overnight and it’s always 100% by the morning - I sometimes stay late and have to drive back to my car and the front lamp does illuminate the sidewalk enough to see the path and the blinkers are very helpful as to be seen when making a left turn in the left lane. It has a brake light too . - my campus is near a lot of restaurants / fast food places and I’ve found it very convenient that I don’t have to go to my car, wait 10 min in traffic just to drive around the campus , find a spot , eat, drive back and park again and walk all the way back to my hangout spot , when I can just go on the scooter, eat there and drive back to my spot , no waiting in traffic nor looking for a good parking spot just quick go and back . - the brake feels good, although I don’t use it much but instead the regen / off throttle - the “18” mile of range is not close to what I would get on a single charge . I pretty much only use the Sport mode since using eco feels so sloww. And with it , I’d get around 2.5-3.5 miles before the battery would get to around 50%. Which for me was like 4 0.7mile trips (kinda flat terrain) . Using eco mode limits you to like 9 mph which is when you’d get closer to the 18 mile range. If you drive on eco , not much of an issue. - the display /screen is a SCRATCH magnet . And the buttons are cheap. Since the handles fold , the screen is the point of contact with the ground on its side. My FIRST time I took it, I made the mistake of laying it on the screen side in my trunk and when I took it out, the screen and buttons where scratched / worn from sliding around. I ONLY lay it on the bell side now . - if you have to carry something big /bulky , it’s really bad since you need BOTH hands on the bar or else you fall . I have a reusable bag with me in case a situation like that arrises . Walking is the best solution in my case - I parked the scooter on my campuses bike/scooter racks, and sometimes when I power it on after unracking it, I’d get an error 02! And it would not let me use it . I believe it’s cause the tire fits in between the poles where the tires are supposed to go and so it rests on the brake lever next to the tire. The only way to get rid of the fault code for me was either waiting a while or moving the scooter back and forth white squeezing the brake . - Didn’t come with a phone mount so you have to buy one for like 25$ -You need an app in order to change some settings of the scooter like turning off kick to start - only solid place to secure a lock is in between the two holes at the base of the stem - I have had it overheat / lock me out due to driving it on grass 3-4 inch tall I haven’t had any BAD issues but just some that could be fixed . I don’t regret purchasing this scooter and actually wish I’d gotten one sooner instead of paying 550 a year in parking passes. It’s not perfect but not bad either .

Really good scooter for the price, even on sale at the time. Only complaint is Battery life.
The value for what you're getting is incredible, dual blinkers, headlight, brake light. I do weigh around 250 lbs but it still reaches a staggering 9 mph! The power is incredibly good, getting you up to high speeds very quick. I hear a bit of a whine coming from the motor but it is 600 Watts after all. All I dont really like is the fact that the battery life is a little short but still pretty nice! Absolutely worth the buy! Get one right now while there's still a sale!

The NIU Electric Scooter: Basically Our Family’s Newest Member
Let me just say this: the NIU K100F/K300X/AIR Electric Scooter is an absolute BEAST. My two teenage boys and I ride this thing everywhere—into town, to the store, around the neighborhood, and even on trips along the Cape Cod Canal. At this point, I’m pretty sure the scooter gets more fresh air than I do. Power? Oh, it’s got power. This thing has 600W–900W of “hold on tight and pray you charged your phone for GPS” power. It zips up hills, cruises on flats, and makes me feel way cooler than a grown adult should feel on a scooter. Battery life? Amazing. I swear this thing charges once, then runs for three days straight out of pure determination. We ride it all over creation and it still comes back with enough juice to judge my driving. Range? Perfect for the boys, perfect for me, and perfect for pretending we’re in a high-speed chase… at a reasonable, parent-acceptable speed. The best part? My teens actually want to hang out with me now. They see me grab the scooter key and suddenly they’re like, “Dad, wait for us!” I don’t question it. I just enjoy the moment. If you’re considering this scooter—stop considering. Buy it. Ride it. Let it improve your life in ways therapy can’t. 10/10 — would absolutely buy again and may or may not fight my kids for riding time.
