Like the headline says, they're rocks. These particular rocks are big and smooth. I really don't need them to do a whole lot around the house though. I only needed these rocks to not explode when put in a fire. They haven't exploded yet, so they're doing a great job.

I ordered a 10# bag and received 4 rocks. The largest is 8” long. These are very dense and I was expecting pumice and therefore lighter rock and certainly more than 4 of them. The smaller rocks (all 3 of them) are more of what I was expecting.

These stones are legit. They were baked up to 1500 degrees f and when used in the sauna did not explode pop or anything. They bubble and cooled perfectly.

Not sure these 3 rocks equal 10 lbs. Very nice rocks, super fast shipping. I was expecting a little more for the cost. I might order a second round if the price drops a bit.

Just what you'd expect

fire pit looks fantastic with the lava ricks on a bed of black fire glass! They will get a bit of sod on them from the flame, looks fine!

Like other reviews (which I did not read closely before buying) I only received four rocks. They look great and I’ve decided to keep them. In hindsight the 1-2” bag would have been better. Even then I would keep the cheap beige stones that came with my little portable fire pit and put the new stones on top.The thing is, it a pendemic and we’ve been shut down a long time. Having an outdoor visit with friends over a beverage is a special thing. These stones are a nice touch to a fire pit that allows that all to happen.We’re buying the 1-2” as well.It’s for my mental health.

The 23 ceramic stones on our gas fireplace were looking very tired and worn after 8 years of use. To reorder new ones would cost $800 which is crazy! Another company sells some similar for $300 but earliest delivery would be 12 weeks. Then I saw these American Fireglass lava stones on Amazon and thought they looked pretty good and the price was extremely reasonable so I ordered a 10lb bag of the XL size ( received 6 stones in the bag) and a 20lb bag of Large ( contained 17 stones). Ended up being the perfect amount for our fireplace. They arrived within a week of ordering with free shipping. So happy I found these - the fireplace looks awesome again!!

Just arrived today - disappointed that I only received 4 rocks. They are nice but not enough to compliment my little propane fire pit. Will try them out before deciding to get a few more. That’s some expensive rocks

Arrived quickly. Colour is more grey than black. Variety of sizes included. Used the smaller ones for gas fireplace insert.

These rocks are nice, but I only got 6 total in the package. I thought that being lava rock, they would be lighter, and therefore I’d get more rocks. Not so.
