Purchased this replacement battery for an Acer Aspire V5 in February 2020. The laptop is normally plugged in and stationary so it's only on battery a few times a week when it is taken to a work location for an afternoon. In September noticed the laptop screen would dim momentarily and then return to normal brightness. Thought that the laptop might be near the end of it's life and having some sort of backlight issue. Today, found laptop had suspended to disk and turned itself off. After restarting it, Windows continually flagged a low battery condition of just 6% remaining even though it was plugged in and supposedly charging. I put the laptop to sleep and waited a while before starting it back up to check the battery level. Windows reported the battery level was still at 6% so apparently it was not charging.I found and installed the original laptop battery and there was no issue with the original battery charging. Additionally, I realized that the screen was no longer changing brightness every few seconds. My thought is that this replacement battery was causing problems with the laptop charging circuit and perhaps the laptop backlight was switching from AC to battery mode and back even while plugged in to an outlet.FYI, I changed back to the replacement battery and the backlight brightness issue returned so it does appear to be tied to a problem with this replacement battery. It's unacceptable for a lightly used laptop battery to only last 9 months. Will purchase another brand to replace it.

I received this battery yesterday, I installed it onto my laptop and it had a charge to it I am guessing. I could not get a remaining time from Windows, It stated Unknown Battery. Someone had mentioned a firmware update. There is one available however the update told me to install a battery. I put the OE battery back in and then the firmware updater told me that the battery charge had to be > 30%. This is not going to happen because the OE battery doesn't charge at all.So now I cannot do a firmware update. The battery went dad after some time and I plugged it in over night. The light on the laptop lit up like it should. In the morning I went to use the laptop from the battery and nothing. I plugged it back in and booted Windows. The battery indicator in windows states "Plugged in not charging"This battery pack is useless and it hasn't even been 24 hours. I need to have use of my laptop today and now I don't.If someone knows a way to fix this issue please let me know. I am using the OE Acer charger and the Laptop (NetBook) is an Acer Aspire A0725

I gave it a 5 for battery life just because it arrived fully charged, and it is giving me all day use. Obviously I have not had it long enough to review for long term use. Name brands don't always arrive at full charge, so a plus right out of the box. It is a bit larger as previously reviewed. But the size is a good thing for me, it gives the Chromebook a slight degree of height from back to level at front. I am guessing it will help overheating with the space opening from back to front. I never had an overheat problem as I had it on a stand that gave it the same degree. For me, it's one less item that I have to carry. I love this old Chromebook, and really wish they were now as substantial as this one. I am currently looking into the choices I have to get another 6 months out of it since it is past it's update time of 6.5 years. But that is a review that belongs to Google. Windows allows you to buy an update. If you love the laptop enough to spend for an update they should offer the option.But back to the battery. It fits well, I am happy with the slightly larger form. The packaging was perfect. Safe and secure padding and heavy duty cardboard box.Not using it outside of my interior network firewalls until I can find a way to get the security updates, but I am getting at least 11 hours from this battery.I will hate to replace this particular Chromebook. But, if this battery fits your system it is a quality off brand.I almost forgot, the battery size doesn't interfere with the case, still fits perfectly in the old carrier.I will use this vendor again.

I bought this as an upgrade to my original (2012) Acer One 756 netbook hoping it would give me extended working time. The battery fit perfectly and in my opinion not that much bigger than the original. This 11V battery worked fine even though my original 4-cell battery was 14.8V. The only issue I had was that it would not accept a charge when connected to the factory netbook charger. When I installed the new battery, the netbook indicated it was 62% charged. After 2 hours of charging, it was still at 62%. The battery symbol status said 'plugged in, but not charging'. The original battery charges just fine. So it's either really not compatible with the netbook charging electronics as the seller states, or it is defective. I'm returning it for a refund.

I was so excited to find a replacement for my son's laptop. I was tired of his laptop having to be plugged in to use it. I installed the battery and proceeded to charge it for a few hours. When we turned it on, unplugged, it would not turn on. I plugged in the laptop and it turned on. When I try to unplug the battery it says there is no charge. When it is plugged in, it says it is 228% (plugged in). The company needs to replace this battery with a working one.

Admittedly I just got the battery today, that being said it fit perfectly in my Acer Aspire V5 11.6" laptop. It charged in a couple hours and upon unplugging and powering on, the laptop power icon showed 6hr 01min of runtime with High Performance power option selected and the screen light turned down to 15%. All in all its registering as good as the original new laptop battery. Of course it could ignite my laptop in a firely blaze tomorrow or only hold a charge for 10 cycles, howevee if that does happen I will be sure to log back in and update my review.
