Easy and safe to use
I love this tool! I have very thick and somewhat coarse hair. It’s bigger than my old one, but so much easier to use. It’s also faster at drying my hair. This dryer doesn’t get as hot, but it does the job. It’s definitely a lot safer than the one I had before. I’ve used the comb for the frizzy parts I wake up with and works with one pass. It’s not as loud as my old one and it’s easy to hold and use. This dryer is high quality, it doesn’t feel cheap and it does what it’s supposed to do.

Surprisingly fabulous
I am a white woman in my 60s with shoulder length thick frizzy hair. I usually use a blow dryer and several round brushes plus a flat iron or curling iron on my hair to make it look presentable. Lately, I have felt that it was just too much work and my hair never looks as smooth and sleek as when my stylist does my hair. I have been looking at these all in one devices for a while but I just couldn't spend so much money and I did not need all of the attachments. But, I decided to give this one last shot before I cut off my hair. It is excellent. It is big but it is not heavy or unwieldy. I have been using it 2 months now and love it and would definitely recommend it. It dries my hair faster than a traditional blow dryer and while it doesn't give my hair curls, they waves are soft and perfect for every day. Easy to use, easy to store in the heat proof bag and yes, a good value for the money. I definitely recommend it.

I Made The Mistake So You Don't Have Tod
I know chat is annoying - this is real close to my version. Please read, I promise it will be worth your time. Ladies, listen up. I “trauma chopped” my long, stringy, lifeless hair — the same hair I had to backfill with clip-in extensions for 15+ years. And the transformation? Liberating. My short hair came alive: full of bounce, health, and youth. People were stunned — it wasn’t just “me with short hair,” it looked like a different, much younger person. But then came the nightmare… Four days later, using my new Conair roller brush dryer, my curls weren’t holding. I wrapped my hair, cycled it through the brush several times and held for longer duration — and ended up with a full head of fried, frizzy hair. i was HORRIFIED 😱 I jumped on Reddit and within minutes learned the truth: these cheap “brand name” heat brushes are hair killers. • Revlon & Conair? Bristle melters. 🔥 • BaByliss? Run. The paddle brush heats up like an oven. I literally threw mine out. How these are sold at Ulta blows my mind. Here’s the rule: If it isn’t a Dyson or Shark, don’t put it near your hair. I switched to a Shark tool — similar in design to Conair, but worlds apart in quality and materials. The $100 price point is cheap compared to the expensive products you will be buying to repair damage from economy hair brush dryers. The Shark bristles feel amazing on my scalp, and I get salon results by drying with no heat, then finishing with the lowest heat setting for 30 seconds. And yes — I repaired the damage thanks to Reddit. 🙌 • L’Oreal Elvive protein treatment overnight for 5 nights straight. • Their leave-in conditioner = my daily staple. • Minimal (or zero) thermal guard — those products actually cause breakage. ⸻ 💡 Takeaway Don’t let cheap brushes ruin your hair. Learn from me — save your strands, save your money, and if you style, go Dyson or Shark.

Doesn’t work on dry hair and is heavy
I bought this specifically for its ability to work on dry hair. I was hoping based on the description it would be more of a heated comb. The problem I was trying to solve is that I love my Dyson but it doesn’t really work to jazz up hair the next day. This is a specific problem I’ve had since having postpartum regrowth because my hair is different lengths and only behaves if washed fresh each day. The shark doesn’t solve this problem despite its promise to work on dry hair (Dyson is intended for wet); it doesn’t work any better than heat and a round brush. It’s also very heavy and somewhat awkward to use. At the end of the day to really style dry hair I think I need heat and this specifically heats only to low temperatures.

Decent hair smoothing
Good quality brush; looks cool. 15 minutes to dry my hair, but I feel like maybe it doesnt get hot enough. I've always used the Revlon brush - it's loud but hot and easy to use. However good the Revlon one is, I had to replace it several times because the bristles melt off. So this Shark one has 2 operations: one to blow dry wet hair and the other is for dry hair frizz fighting, and hair smoother. The heat level might be perfect for thin hair, but I have thick wavy hair. My hair is short so i will keep the Shark; even though it does seem too heavy.
