Best pencil sharpener for color pencils I ever got or used. I bought this to sharpen my very expensive color pencil set. I use when I do my coloring. I like the I can get my tips to a sharp point or I can have a blunt point. The ratchet sharpener is very fast at getting my pencils sharpened, but I don't use it that way often. I actually just twist my pencils one direction a few times and they are good to go.. it holds a lot of shavings I was surprised by that. actually I figured I would have to be dumping it every time I used it, but come to find out that is not the case at all. I hardly ever dump it. It takes me quite a few sharpenings before I realize that I need to dump it. then some shavings get stuck, but I expect that to happen with these type of sharpeners. Over all I like it. I got the blue one it's a pretty blue too. I choose to have a random color sent for just under $2.00 yes that is right just under two dollars I got a pencil sharpener that is well worth! it blew me away. I was not expecting much of this sharpener for the price of it. But it's a great one I will definitely be getting another one for my regular pencils, and for the kids to use at school! This sharpener works like a charm, and for the cost it can't be beat. Go ahead and get it because you will not regret it!

It is an inexpensive, manual pencil sharpener which works well. Just purchased it and sharpened four pencils so I cannot speak to its longevity.

What an unexpected surprise find! This product is such an incredible improvement over pencil sharpeners of my past. It is self contained and keeps the shavings nicely stored within its casing. No more sharpening pencils over a garbage pail. Emptying the shavings is simple and mess-free. An extra feature of this tool is a dual position switch that allows you to choose the sharpness of the point. It came set in the sharpest point position and it does produce very sharp pencil points. I now want to order more and put them in every drawer or container that pencils are stored. Definitely worth a few more Penny’s for all the conveniences this simple tool provides.

I really like these pencil sharpeners. I would totally buy them again. I like that you can choose to sharpen the pencils to pointy or dull, which is great for art. If I want to make details I’ll sharpen it to pointy. If I want to shade, I’ll sharpen it to dull. I have not yet found any other sharpeners that do the same thing. I also really like that they don’t make the pencil lead break. Some sharpeners break the lead or splinter the wood if you try to sharpen it into a nice point. These do sharpen into a perfect point and the lead/wood hardly ever breaks! I think the only complaint I have with this product is that when it gets full, you can’t sharpen it anymore. Now this would be fine, however it is very hard to clean. A lot of times the shavings get stuck in the back behind the actual sharpener and is incredibly hard to get out. Overall, I love this product. I have used one of the three pack for about two and a half years before it broke. That is amazing. It is a very good product, and worth the money!

It's incredible frustrating when you buy a simple sharpener and it doesn't work. I tried many and they go bad so quickly. This one works perfectly and it lasts! I love it. It's sturdy and very easy to use. It sharpens perfectly. It's easy to clean. The material is as described, so it's perfect. It's very compatible with pencils.

Note: even though at the bottom of the package in the picture it indicates only one, I went but the picture and thought there would be three. Those are just color examples. It can take quite a lot of pressure before the lead breaks so definitely good for kids. Has a regular, sharp setting then another that's not dull, just not so sharp, that I like for things like crossword puzzles where the paper might tear easily. Plus I press hard as too often break sharp points. Very happy.

This is the best manual sharpener I’ve ever used. I’m an artist and it’s very important for me to be able to keep my colored pencils sharp, this sharpener does an awesome job and I haven’t had it snap the lead like I’ve had with other sharpeners. The red one especially even looks like a tulip and the side is like a petal that pulls away to empty the shavings - how cool is that?? I wasn’t expecting much for the price, I got it because it was cheap and would come quickly but I am beyond happy with this purchase.

This works really well, and opens and empties pretty good. It allows two different ways to sharpen, even though i haven't changed it. I assume it's so that there isn't a sharp tip on it. The price was great, and it arrivced on time

Bought because my Staedtler pencil sharpener couldn’t sharpen coloured pencils. This sharpener is Awesome! Sharpened to a perfect point on first try! Need a sharpener? Buy this one!!
