Hi, thanks for reaching out. The PTM-22 is a selectable frequency system so you can connect as many bodypack receivers as you want to the base transmitter unit. Only need to make sure you sync the bodypacks to the same frequency as the transmitter's. Thanks.

How can all four be used? Do I connect both left inputs to two different channels and do the same to the right?

HI, thanks for reaching out! There are two channels on the PTM-22. Each channel has left/right inputs. However, the system is a mono IEM system because the audio from left and right channel will mix together and transmit to the bodypack receiver. You would not be able to separate the left/right audio and hear a stereo sound. There are two separate outputs for each channel as well. You can pass the audio through the system and input it to the next stage of equipment. There you can output left channel and right channel separately. Thank you.

Is this different from the other brain that looks identical? Does the "B" at the end of the past number mean something different?

Hi, thanks for asking! The PTM-22A and PTM-22B use the same transmitter. But they have different configurations. The PTM-22A set has only one bodypack receiver, and the PTM-22B has more than 3 three bodypack receiver options. So you can add bodypack to the PTM-22 system as you need.
