Works well, flexible, does NOT smell of plastic.
This has no smell. I am very sensitive to plastic odours and this has none, I asked before buying and it is made of ABS plastic and iron pipe. It is flexible enough to let me give my feet infra red treatment while lying in my indoors hammock watching TV. You can adjust the number of pipe sections and there is a slider on the top section to give on the fly adjustment of height, plus bendy stalks on the lamps adjust angle. Power control allows 3 different modes, all LEDS, visible only, infrared only. You do not need to set the timer and can use it as long as you wish continuously, or set the timer if you want. I am not easily impressed but this does the job and unlike previous IR products I have tried it does not stink the house out. So 5 stars is warranted. The only difficulty I encountered FYI was undoing the pole sections to take one out after I had assembled it, as the joining sections, especially the base joint, are hard to grip as they are small and have no spanner faces, so be warned not to overtighten them on first assembly. (I had to use a mole clamp with thick cardboard to get the joint to unscrew, which was very tricky!) Came with green glasses but you can switch off the visible light and just have the infra red.

Brilliant
I love this red light, I bought it was for my boyfriend for an Xmas present but use it myself everyday. The health benefits are amazing, I love how you can use it over your whole body and itโs free standing so do not have to hold it, it is great value for money. Very easy to use and lightweight so easy to move
