The Crampbuster CB4 is a US-made, universal-fit throttle assist designed to reduce wrist fatigue during long motorcycle rides. It installs tool-free by sliding onto the throttle grip and uses a simple rotating mechanism to provide effortless throttle control and a comfortable palm rest. ## Description

The Crampbuster provides a way for comfortable throttle control, and dramatically reduces the wrist fatigue often caused by long rides. It doesn't lock the throttle on and installs with no tools, just slide it on, it rotates forward with ease yet when downward pressure is applied by your hand, the throttle is regulated effortlessly without squeezing. There are no moving parts or tools required. It works on the principle of an oil filter wrench. Simply stretch it open and snap it on the outside of your grip. It will rotate clockwise (upward for adjustment) but when turned counter clockwise (downward) by the weight of your palm it pinches and the throttle is pulled open. To accelerate, simply lift it a little (causing it to rotate up clockwise) then rest your palm back on it. To decelerate, simply spin it up clockwise completely around until it comes up into a position a little lower than before. It can also be used as a rest for you left hand. Oversized version fits grips 1-3/8 inches and larger in diameter and has shorter and wider palm rest.

Review: Useful but be careful. - I fitted the Crampbuster CB4 to my Kawasaki VN1600 as I have arthritis and carpal tunnel in both hands. It is easy to fit and works well. I has certainly reduced the amount of grip I apply to the throttle and reduced pain in my joints. One word of warning, on my third ride with it on I needed to quickly reach for my brake and caught it with my wrist. This caused the engine to rev unexpectedly as I encountered a hazard. I am finding the Crampbuster to be useful but remember you have it on the bike at all times.

I fitted the Crampbuster CB4 to my Kawasaki VN1600 as I have arthritis and carpal tunnel in both hands. It is easy to fit and works well. I has certainly reduced the amount of grip I apply to the throttle and reduced pain in my joints. One word of warning, on my third ride with it on I needed to quickly reach for my brake and caught it with my wrist. This caused the engine to rev unexpectedly as I encountered a hazard. I am finding the Crampbuster to be useful but remember you have it on the bike at all times.

No cruise control on my motorcycle, so this little gizmo is really helpful for easing hand cramps on the throttle side. At about $10, I wasn't so sure about this, but it works well. High quality black plastic slips over your throttle and lets the beefy part of the palm of your hand keep the speed steady while allowing you to moved your fingers around (no numb fingers!). Comes with a rubber band to make the device fit more snugly if needed. Will probably need to futz with it over several rides to find just the right position (whether in or out/forward or back) to get just the right fit for your hand palm comfort. Clever, cheap, really works. This model (look at the photo) is flush left with an offset to the right and fits farther to the end of your throttle. There is also a model that is made to fit closer toward the middle of your throttle (the left side looks like the right side instead of being flush left). I prefer this one. Give it a try!
