Needs 400C to fully harden. - It's the middle of winter, so obviously, using it outdoors isnt really advisable; so I had to set up in my large living room (26x12ft), even hours later, the entire house still stank. After drying, it has a dull, dark grey finish, however according to the can, it needs at least 1 hour at 400C to fully harden, so installing these parts back in my stove before I do that, risks damaging the new protective paint. I will try an overnight bake in my oven, set to self cleaning, but even that isnt going to reach 400C - I hope it is enough. Thanks** A: Don't think so. Expensive for concrete I'm sure you would get cheaper. The thin isn't that big and w ouldnt go very far anyway. **Q: This has been recommended tp paint a calorific converter to protect it from theft. however would it produce fumes when hot.** A: I don't know about the item to which you refer, all I can say is, for my purposes it did the job and there were no fumes from the paint at all. I was delighted with it as the product after sales service with the supplier was excellent. I sugest you trawl the internet for am answer or find a catalitic supplier and ask them. The heat degrees should be on the product description i.e. on the tin or write up, so that would be useful to ask a catalitic supplier.
