Rubbermaid garbage cans are wonderfully wide, but hard to find bags that fit. These do.

I really don't know why there are any bad reviews of these. They are not hefty bags or force flex but they are decent. I keep a 44 gal off the kitchen for all the huge stuff and non food items. A lot of bottles, magazines, cans, 12 pack card board, pizza boxes, etc. No problems. I don't fill them up past the rim and there's plenty of extra to make two ears to tie together no problem. Funny thing - before buying these I read the one review from 2014 and the person was kind of complaining about the packaging and the fact they are not rolled up etc. I thought that was silly... but now I know what they mean! You grab a bag and half the bags want to come out with it. It's bearable but I'm left to leave them in their fairly large original box and it's a little awkward. That said I expect to buy again.

Purchased this despite very mixed reviews. I've used these for grass clippings and they held up well. The grass was very dry, so I'll edit review if moist grass proves too much. As is, they've held 50+ lbs without issue. My only complaint is they decompose after about a week into a __very__ sticky mess. After it happens once, you won't forget.As for suggestions that I would like to see (only if they don't raise the price by more than 5%): Twist ties and bags on a roll or some method other than just folded in a box.

These fit the Rubbermaid 44gal Brute can with plenty of room to use the can's bag locking feature. I've been using these for a week or so now and admittedly, have been over filling these- weight wise, and they have held up great to heavy old magazines, accumulated junk mail and everything else I've thrown in them. I'm using zip-ties as closures and I'll bet some of the bags I've filled have had 75 pounds of trash in them!I was hesitant at first on ordering these when I read the one-star "review", but since these were the only ones I could find on Amazon- or anywhere for that matter that fit the Brute, there were no other choices. After using these successfully for my purposes, I'm trying to figure out what one-star bags would be like... hole at both ends? Still, I'd like to find some 3mil ones to fit this Brute, but so far, so good with these- no need to "double up" yet! Definitely be reordering when I run out.

These bags fit the rubbermaid 44 gallon Brute. They could be a little tighter around the rim, but they work. I didn't think about how they would be packaged, but they arrive folded flat inside a box. I guess I was thought they would be on a roll, so dispensing is tricky as not to drag a entire pile out when you only want one bag. Also, they don't have lobes for self-tying and they're not quite long enough to twist and tie in a big knot. You have to use small lengths of string or twist ties. And try finding twist ties nowadays. Overall, they are good bags for the purpose.

These bags are useless. Every one of the five I hsve used so far have torn gretting it out of the can. What's the point of having a large trash cannot if I can't fill it up? I wouldn't be surprised if a bag would tear with nothing but the other 99 bags I bought inside it. I was much better off using bags that were too small and stretching them over my brute 44.

Great, got them in a timely manner and they fit perfectly. Salesman where I purchased my 44 gal trash can told me the 42 gallon would work, but maybe just a little bit tight. Wrong, they were may more that a little bit. I returned those bags to the store and got a refund. Spoke with the sales person, a very nice person, and advised he not tell anyone else it would be a "tight fit". Comical situation.
