Depending on your child and their age, reading level and what you would or would not allow them to read (I say this because there are some parents, and I know a couple, that won’t let their kids watch Scooby Doo or SpongeBob, which is stupid) this is a great series for ages 10+ It is a very unique read with lots of magic, action and comedy. The US cover art is also so disappointing compared to this set—we thought these look totally bad a$$ and love how the characters are displayed on the cover and side binding. The series is recommended for age 14+, but my 3rd grader loves these books! The librarys in my area only have the first three or so and I've read them probably 20 some times each. Now, on my 23 birthday I finally bought myself this set and I'm soooo excited. These are by far some of the best books I've ever read.
