Very nice camera! I used it over a cold weekend ...
Very nice camera! I used it over a cold weekend for ice fishing. Worked perfectly! It added excitement to an otherwise boring weekend. I was also able to see how fish reacted, what dept they were at and the bottom structure. It's an invaluable tool!!You will need to add a bit of counter weights to the front. I purchased some heavy lead fishing sinkers and wedged them into the front. Otherwise when the case is opened, the case will tip backwards. Also, you will need a good tie-off device to help achieve the right depth and direction. Frabill sells one or you can make one but this is a MUST.

Good qaulity
I have had this on the ice for a couple of weekends now. First let me just say this item is compact. Less then a quarter of the size of my old fish tv. Battery last all day though when I leave the bob house I unplug it. Clear picture unless of course the laker's come in and stir up the bottom. The one thing I would have liked was the ability to dim the lights on the camera. They are so bright that the little microscopic stuff in the water shines. Plus side is that the light does not affect the fish coming in to the chum. Had one hover in front of the camera for a good 20 minutes.

Nice!
This is a cool little camera. Lcd screen is mounted in the lid of the case and works really good. you can have the led lights on or off. when you use the lights in murky/stained water they reflect off of the particles suspended in the water to create a glare. infrared Led lights work better because there is no visible light coming from the camera, but you look in the moniter and see the lights. I made an underwater camera years ago called 'The Lunker cam', and it had infrared led lights. Image displays on a portable TV powered by 9 'C' rechargeable batteries. If i were to do this purchase over I would be sure to get a system with infrared lights!

THE IDEA IS AWESOME BUT, REALITY WILL TEST YA PLENTY !!
Now Understand I LOVE the idea of it and Maybe if I work with it more then I have I'll understand it better. It's tough to work but I'M NOT GIVING UP ON IT JUST YET !! The SUN destroys any LQQK GLARE GLAREand your Eyes hurt when staring at it to long !! You must set it up already knowing it could fall in any minutecause of the Weight of the Screen. IN A FLOAT TUBE IT'S REALLY TOUGH ... On A Bass Boat you can setit up but GLARE Ruins anything to see ! Best time to use it is SHADED AREAS !! That way you can see the screen.ONE MAJOR FLAW IS THE CAMERA WIRE OH AND THE LIGHT NEVER TURNS OFF !! The weight of the camerais a Pain when lowering it you have to add lots of weight !! Then trying to keep straight and not NOSE DIVING willPush you past Patience ... Remember Tiny wire like your head phones and all that twisting can SEVER the Wireand you'll have contact problems !! When lowering the camera it's quicker to unravel the wire first before spyingon any fish. Also more for shallow water then deeper water the wires maybe 20 feet so hope that helps you out !!

Makes ice fishing fun
Clear picture no fun to use. It says 7 colors but it looks like it's much more than that. Used it about 3-4 times. I find that it works best at certain times of the day during winter under ice. I don't use the LED since it makes the picture less clear. I am looking forward to using it when the ice thaws. Makes ice fishing so much more fun.

Product itself good but I ordered the 50 m cable from them and got zero communication. So far no delivery or response to multiple emails

Performs well but has a few nits
This camera is a good value for the money. I used it for the first time today in murky water where the visibility was about 3 feet and the rocks and bottom were crystal clear. It was be very good for ice fishing. The foam screen protector and sun visor are nice, thoughtful touches. I appreciate the wide piece of velcro that goes around the spool of coax too. It's super compact, light and will travel well. Overall, as I said, a good value for the money. Why 3 stars? The instruction manual limps you through operation. It does not show remaining battery life (or at least I haven't been able to find it) and it has no recharge instructions. The charger flashes different colors (alternating red/orange or green) and the instruction manual does not say what those lights mean. When the unit is disconnected the LED is green so I presume that means the battery is fully charged.Additionally, my screen was imperfect, kind of a blem. It works fine but has red markings in one area of the screen, like an inspection type of marker. There also is a small area that was scratched when I first opened it. Again, it performs fine and I can certainly live with these little imperfections but cannot give it more than 3 stars.

Ocean only
It might work better in ocean or sea water but in the rivers and lakes we have here you canโt see anything. Itโs also very hard to get it pointed in the proper direction.
