Buy Grow Your Own Garden: How to propagate all your own plants by Klein, Carol, Buckley, Jonathan (ISBN: 9781846078477) from desertcart's Book Store. Everyday low prices and free delivery on eligible orders. Review: Really inspirational - I was always a bit scared of propagation techniques beyond sowing commercial seed or dividing clumps of plants, but this book has made me want to rush out and buy a cold frame (no space in my garden for a greenhouse) and have a go at taking cuttings. It is clear and manages to demystify the processes involved in propagating plants using a variety of techniques. There is also a useful guide to indicate which methods of propagation can be used on a variety of plants. I can see how you could quite easily save a lot of money using this book and a little patience to grow more plants for your garden instead of buying more from the garden centre. As a bonus is is visually appealing too - it looks lovely on your bookshelf and the photos inside are well done too. Would make a lovely gift. Review: Looking forward to filling the garden for free! - Wonderful book written by a very knowledgeable lady. Ideal for a tight-wad like me who baulks at the prices charged by garden centres. Clear instructions and beautiful illustrations. This book covers all the different techniques of propagating and shows in great detail how and when to do it. An excellent "quick reference" section tells you the best method to use for each plant and the aftercare section is very useful. This is the first Carol Klein book I have ever bought but it certainly won't be the last!

Superb!
Just about all the ordinary gardener needs to know about propagation (and more)! Clear, concise, easy to follow. If there are any other methods of propagation I certainly haven't heard of them which means for me, everything within this book I can follow and, hopefully, succeed with. This book will last anyone a lifetime and be well used. I can hear Miss Klein's down-to-earth, no-nonsense voice, describing everything in a calm confident manner, without patronising, leading me to believe I can do all these things. All I need is practice. Carol Klein is to me a female version of Alan Titchmarsh..or is it the other way around. No matter! I am a huge fan of both and with maybe just a little luck they will make a good gardener out of me. Buy it or drops big hints ... you will not be disappointed.

Great Visuals and Informative Book
I chose this book on other reviewers comments and I was not disapointed. I love the way it is set out so clearly and something that I would view as quite complex is made to look very easy. Carole Kleins approach and enthusiasm comes through and is very infectious.Great winter reading, when we want to look forward to Spring and getting out in the garden again, and a great reference book for all the year. I am very pleased I bought it and would highly recommend it.

Great if you are a carol Klein fan but tends ...
Great if you are a carol Klein fan but tends to loose some focus on the task of propagation with distractions and pleasant meanderings, though nicely done. There are insightful observations that can only come from experience. The RHS book on propagation more tightly written but is purely a reference tome. I bought both!
