Barista experience at home
De’Longhi EC900M – A Beautiful and Capable Home Espresso Machine I purchased the De’Longhi EC900M on Amazon, and it has exceeded my expectations. Its minimalist and elegant design blends seamlessly into any kitchen, making it as stylish as it is functional. This machine truly brings the barista experience home, offering very good espresso extraction with rich flavors and a nice crema. It’s also easy to use and maintain, making it a great choice for both beginners and intermediate users looking to improve their coffee-making skills. The steam wand, while a bit tricky at first, produces a good microfoam texture—perfect for latte art once you get the hang of it. It does take a little longer than some higher-end machines, but the results are worth it. Overall, the EC900M is a fantastic entry-level option with enough features to satisfy those wanting to refine their espresso-making technique. Highly recommended!

Estoy feliz con los resultados fácil de usar. Me gustaría incluyera embudo para cargar el café molido y no regar tanto en la mesa

Huge let down
I don’t know if this is because it was ‘used as new’ but the espressos are incredibly watery and weak. It also leaks everywhere and the steam pipe blows water instead of hot steam. I have always used DeLonghi espresso machines and been satisfied but this one is such a disappointment.

This is a good pick. Pick this one
So far I love it. It looks good. It works good. Great machine for a beginner. They really tried to make it newbieproof. You can get a pretty good cup of espresso with these machines, and I’ve seen a lot of people spend a ton of money on bigger more expensive machines, and make some really sour or bitter coffee. I’d absolutely recommend this machine. I spent days researching, and this one was recommended a lot by the experts.

Great Coffee Machine!
Great coffee maker! Especially if you like to experiment with different settings. ...but it's not for those who just want to press one button and get a drink. This is more for enthusiasts ;) Once you figure it out, you'll have a great cup of coffee!

Machine Descales Too Often
The machine works great except that the Descaler light has been coming on every 8 to 13 days since we bought the machine a few months ago. Descaling the machine takes an hour, which is much longer than our previous Breville machines. De'Longhi says the water impacts the descaling process but we use Primo filtered water. They said this may not have enough minerals. I'm currently dealing with De'Longhi customer service and regret buying this machine.

Great coffee once you find the right beans
Took a few failures to get the quantity and grind right for this one, but once I did it's great. Dislikes: no feet or sticky pads to secure to counter top, small lightweight machine - it moves with every touch. Steam wand will leak excess water every cup, make sure its over the tray...

Steamer wand doesnt work properly
Steamer is confusing and only blows air randomly

This item arrived the next day via Amazon Prime and was packaged in a simple cardboard box. I have reviewed the Specialista Opera and the Magnifica machines from this brand, and this may very well be my favourite. I have been using this machine for just over a month now. -This machine is remarkably easy to use and offers a great entry point into home espresso machines without being overwhelming or daunting. -The product description videos and instructions were accurate and easy to understand. I also watched an unboxing video and some user reviews to give me a better idea what to expect but they were unnecessary as set up is simple and you can be brewing quickly upon unboxing. -This is the smallest and most compact of the three machines I have reviewed --- I am actually happy to leave this on my kitchen counter whereas the other two models simply take up too much kitchen real estate. If you prefer to put this machine away between uses, it is the easiest machine in terms of lugging around and storing. -The drip tray catches any spills or runoff. Clean up is also straightforward because the components (such as the nozzle and milk frother) detach easily and can easily be wiped down or safely used in the dishwasher. -Water tank is certainly smaller but I find this easier to handle when filled. -This is great to prepare one or two small drinks at a time rather than a large batch all at once, however the process is quite quick so even if you are entertaining a larger group of people, preparation is rather quick and does allow you to prepare as much or as little as you necessary. -The interface is simple and I love that all the buttons match the machine and provide a sleek, classy look. -Most importantly, this creates great tasting drinks, even compared to the larger models. Overall, this is an easy to use machine that simplifies the coffee and espresso making process and produces great tasting beverages. A wonderful addition to your morning routine and the fact that it takes up limited kitchen real estate is such a win. Recommended!

EDIT: Six months in and it's already failed. Stuck in descale mode, won't register that the mode is completed, and just runs and runs. Keep topping it up with water to see if the internal flow sensor finally catches up with reality, but after many hours of letting it run to no avail we finally gave up. Getting in touch with maker now to address problem. This is way too quickly for a brand new machine to crap out. The old version lasted nearly a decade with zero issues. Have searched and others are reporting the same problem with this model. **Not recommending this machine** - maybe a newer version if this issue gets properly addressed but until then don't buy this thing. =-=-=-=-=-=-= Original review: Our first generation Dedica finally got too old to maintain, so we sprung for this newer version and are so happy that we did! Interface change was smooth, despite different button order. Machine is a little wider than the old one, but only by a little. If your kitchen layout is a tight fit, though, something to be aware of. Love that this has a low water alert. Old one did not and we had a few near misses over the years at disaster. I'll miss the gorgeous red colour of the old one. My only real wish for this one, though the brushed silver looks lovely, would be that it came in red like prior iterations. Finessing the temp and flow are much easier now. All-around an improvement on the prior version. Makes a fine shot pretty much right out of the box, not much adjusting needed. Looking forward to many years with this one, like we had with the old one!

The Dedica Maestro is exactly what I was looking for. High quality machine that is simple to use and that makes good coffee. I realize that there are manual espresso machines that cost 3 times as much I'm certain they are able to extract better flavour from the beans, but honestly, I doubt I would be able to appreciate the difference. With a manual espresso machine there definitely is a learning curve. I've probably watched dozens of videos about making espresso, coffee machine reviews, setup instructions and coffee tips. I still failed with my first few cups. That said, after a bit of practice, trying a few different coffee beans and (I suspect most importantly) finally adjusting the coarseness of my coffee grinder I'm finally getting results that blow away anything a known coffeebucks chain sells! The machine is really nicely made. Not large and fairly lightweight (it needs a sticky pad or something because it moves on the counter), but mostly made out of metal and very attractive. The package comes with a pretty nice portafilter with additional baskets (2 pressurized and 2 regular). I have a very nice wooden handle portafilter that I'm using, but there is no difference in the performance. The included one is fine. The steam wand works really well, although I usually dont foam the milk much and just use it for warming it. It's easy to control, and easy to create nice foam, however the nuances of microfoam/regular foam are beyond my abilities so I can't really comment on that. I've had this coffee machine for almost a month. I love it! My coffee intake probably doubled in that time, but it is slowly tapering down to normal levels. If this is your first experience with a proper espresso maker, take time to watch videos and you'll be surprised how easy it is to get truly good results!
