The Feeling Good Handbook

Everyone deserves to think better and be happier.
If you are not a Staret, bodisatva or yogi, you probably should read this book and really work on these exercises.Granted, the author is a less entertaining version of Mr. Rogers, and his examples are kitschy but what he tells you to do, works.Once you understand the principles, you can make your own version of the practices.Happiness and clear thinking are hard to achieve, but with this book, and a little work, not so hard.

This book helped me - read it you have nothing to lose.
I was depressed after a promising friendship ended (mostly my fault), reading this book and doing the exercises did help me. I believe the exercises are important to do, they helped me to realize some important aspects about myself that I was downplaying. One of the important things to me that I became aware of is that I was ruminating, but had no clue how I was punishing myself until I read this book.

Purchase several for patients... Timeless classic that works when applied...
I wanted to make I had these now for patients leaving the hospital even though I am aware of the update version that drops late December. I was glad to find several of these. One of the patients I covered mentioned something as his issue. I opened the book EXACTLY to the page the describes that issue and how to overcome it. So, I knew that one was for him. I still have my original from over 30 years ago. Looking forward to the new release...

Good resource for my character building project.
Still reading for the first time. Reading thru it once quickly, then will study and take my time with journaling as a character building project. I never imagined that I would have to learn how to become a person all over again in my 50s. Thank you for your reliable service.

GREAT BOOK, common sense for better thinking patterns.
This book is like common sense for thinking in productive and positive ways. Everything makes sense to me. Of course, changing habits can take time, but the rewards are absolutely worth it. LOVE this book and have now purchased several copies of it since I keep giving my copy away.

This is not what you're after just to read something and feel nice just because you read it
By no means a page-turner, this isn't your average feel-good pop-psychology self-help read. This is not what you're after just to read something and feel nice just because you read it. This book is for when you are ready to get down to business and dedicate the time to make real, meaningful change in your thought life. Classic kind of cognitive behavioral therapy. I would recommend it.

Looks like an interesting book and I can't wait to read ...
Looks like an interesting book and I can't wait to read it, it was recommended to me by a doctor friend who believes in cognitive therapy and not taking anti depressants and other things to make us feel better. I really appreciate that and this book is giving me a different take on how to cope and how to react to things. Different perspectives are always interesting.

Classic CBT book.
If anything this book promotes mindfulness and acceptance. It rewards attentive reader and I'd recommend it to anyone who is serious about their mental health and seeks clear solutions. Nothing tops therapy, obviously, but for a person in need this might be the next best thing.
