Excellent sound quality with a few setup nuances
I’ve been really impressed with this headset, especially after taking the time to adjust the settings properly. The sound quality is outstanding, but it does require some setup to get the most out of it. To really unlock its potential, you need to configure the EQ using dolby atmos (which comes included) or through Corsair’s iCUE software. Once dialed in, the audio becomes incredibly immersive, with clear highs, deep bass, and a balanced overall profile. Without that setup, the default sound might feel a bit underwhelming for such a high-end option. The active noise cancelling works well enough to block out distractions without feeling too heavy-handed, which I appreciate for longer gaming sessions or even just casual music listening. The Bluetooth and wireless connections are seamless, and being able to switch between them is a game-changer for multitasking or taking calls mid-session. Build quality is solid, and the headset is comfortable to wear for extended periods, though it can feel a bit snug at first. It’s clear that the premium design is meant to last, and I’ve had no issues with connectivity or battery life. Just keep in mind that setting up the software and EQ adjustments is a must if you want to experience everything this headset can deliver. Once that’s done, it truly shines.

Lasts less than 6 months before needing replacement.
4 months and it broke. Took the headset off and it literally snapped by me removing it. The charging port appears malfunctional as well - plugging it in during use and the "charging battery" voiceover repeatedly shouts as if the charging port doesn't accept a constant charge. Mic isn't bad tbh band the sound quality is decent but the sheer lack of quality in the rest of it does not outweight the 1* review.

Excels in areas nobody cares whilst falling short in vital areas
I had these headphones for 6 months and went through two different pairs due to faults. I'll get to this. The audio is good and about what you'd expect for this price point. It takes some fiddling with ICUE, the corsair software, but once you find your sweet spot they sound great. The battery life is really good and would last me days without recharging (Without ANC). Speaking of ANC, the noise cancelling works really well. My issue is that I prefer to be able to hear my own voice when speaking into the microphone. Most headphones with ANC use side tone which bleeds microphone input into the audio. The issue here is the side tone is horrendous and often I'd struggle to know if it's even on. Alternatively you do have the transparency mode which essentially does the same thing but with microphones located around the earcups instead of the microphone. The microphone is not great. It has a sort of built in noise cancellation on the microphone. This prevents loud noises in the background, which can be nice, but it also therefore cancels out your voice if you are too loud. The actual audio quality of the microphone is significantly worse than the original Corsair Virtuoso's which in my opinion have a unreasonably good microphone. I eventually opted for a standalone microphone to circumnavigate this issue. The headphones are heavy. They weigh just over 400g which for a pair of headphones is very heavy. This lead to frequent headaches and pressure on the top of my head. The headband itself doesn't really help this as it's designed with multiple protruding pieces of stiff foam which instead of displacing the pressure across the entire head, focuses it into points across the top of your head which even after 20-30 minutes leads to discomfort. I often found I'd be left with visible irritation on my scalp from these headphones. You can get somewhat used to this but It's not what you want for a £200 pair of headphones when much lighter ones are on the market. This brings me to price. At £200 they are reasonably priced but once you factor in needing to buy an external microphone, additional padding for the headband, you're looking more like £250-£300. For this price point you can just find better options. The build quality is not great. Comfort aside, the earcups appear to be very thick and padded but they are in fact actually not. They are about half padding and half some sort of stiff material. I found them to be comfortable but I did notice the material starting to deteriorate after only 6 months. The headband... Within a couple weeks of buying this product my headband had snapped in half. The headphones still worked and so I suppose this is technically cosmetic damage. Regardless I was given a replacement by Amazon. About 4 months after this I had my headband snap yet again. I ignored it as I was past the return date with Amazon. A couple months later the headband snapped again. I now had 2 snapped sections of my headband. I was not rough with them. In fact I was extra careful as I now knew this was clearly a fault. After an extremely arduous back and forth with Amazon I was able to refund the item. These headphones left me really upset. I loved the niche features such as the ability to connect to my phone via Bluetooth and my PC via the dongle. Allowing me to listen to music or calls and games at the same time. They also had an extremely impressive range from the dongle. I found I could walk over 30ft away in my garden and still be connected to my PC on the second floor. That's just the issue with these headphones. They excel in areas that nobody really cares all that much about and fall short in areas that are just vital to a good pair of headphones. My final suggestion is to buy the original corsair virtuosos as they have a good microphone, good audio, good side tone and they are significantly cheaper.

Best headphones I have had.
After looking at several reviews of this headset, I was concerned about how it would feel to wear. After using these for almost a week, I have had absoultely no issues with them. For me, these are vert comfortable to wear, even for long sessions. The active noise cancellation works really well. Transparency mode also seems to work very well. I must say though, I have not had headphones with these features before so don't really have a reference to compare them to. The simultaneous bluetooth and 2.4 GHz connection is great. I can use the headphones form my PC, while still hearing notifications from my phone. Audio quality is fantastic. After configuring my SoundID profile, it's perfect. Overall seems louder as well. With these, I can keep my PC volume at 2-4, where was my previous headphones, to get the same loudness, my PC volume needed to be 22-24. Overall, compared to my previous headsets, these are probably the best I have ever had.

Premium Sound with Some Trade-Offs
Premium Sound with Some Trade-Offs I was drawn to the Corsair VIRTUOSO MAX because of its promise of high-end features like Dolby Atmos, active noise cancellation, and the advanced 50mm graphene drivers. At first glance, the Carbon finish feels sleek and professional, and the build quality gives the impression of a sturdy, premium headset. Unboxing it, I could tell it was designed with both gamers and audiophiles in mind, and I was excited to put it to the test across PC and console. The audio quality is genuinely impressive. The graphene drivers produce detailed, rich sound, with bass that doesn’t overpower the mids and highs. On PC, Dolby Atmos adds a great sense of spatial awareness, making it easier to pinpoint in-game footsteps or direction of dialogue. I also appreciated the SoundID personalisation, which lets you tweak audio to your exact taste. The microphone is clear and consistent, which is a bonus for team-based games. The ANC works well enough to block out everyday background noise, though it isn’t quite on par with dedicated ANC headphones. Overall, this is a strong choice if you’re looking for a gaming headset that also performs well for music and general use. The price is on the high side, especially when compared to other gaming headsets with similar features, and some may find the ANC performance a little underwhelming for the cost. Still, the sound quality, wireless versatility, and sleek design make it an excellent option for those who want both style and performance in one headset.

Great headset. Breaks quickly though
I’ve got a full Corsair setup and this headset fits right in. The sound quality is amazing and it works perfectly with iCUE with no bugs or connection issues. Battery life is solid too. I get about a week from a full charge with around six hours of daily use for both work and gaming. The reason for the three-star rating is the build quality. I bought this headset on July 1st and as of November 2nd the headband has already snapped. I’ve always found the fit snug no matter how carefully I adjust it and today it finally gave way with a pop. It still works and sits okay, but if I lean back it slides right off my head. For a headset that costs over £200 you’d expect the frame to be metal or at least reinforced, not plastic that cracks after a few months. Overall it’s an awesome headset in terms of sound, battery life, and wireless range. But if you’ve got a bigger head or want something that’ll last, I’d think twice.

Premium price tag, Poor quality
It pains me to write this as I like Corsair products but this is not it. The band on the headset is so flimsy it will break regardless of usage. My first had broken within 1 week of use and I had to get a replacement from Corsair directly which took around a month to receive. The second one has broken in the same way AGAIN via the headband from being picked up off my desk. It's a shame because the noise cancellation is good, the headset is comfy and the mic quality is serviceable but they must have skipped quality control on the band. I will not be buying another corsair headset again.

Corsair does it best
The perfect headset, sound is 10/10 Material 10/10 My only fault is it is a small bit uncomfortable with the padding on top , but after awhile it gets more comfortable once material softens

5+
Nie spodziewałem sie, że Corsair zrobi tak dobre słuchawki gamingowe. Do poziomu audiofil w muzyce dużo brakuje, ale w gamingu rewelacja. Na ogromny plus - wykonanie.
