Mikasa 5224193 Ciara 16-Piece Dinnerware Set, Service for 4

The dishes look great. Very light. They clean up real nice in the dishwasher. So far I have no regrets purchasing them. Sorry I didn’t buy them sooner. I have no problem recommending them.

This is an absolutely beautiful set of dishes. This was my first time buying bone china and there is such a huge difference between these and the set of cheap stoneware I had before--they are more uniform in size, so much thinner and lighter and so far nothing has put a scratch on them. They also don't take up nearly as much room as my old dishes--the bowls in particular fit nicely into each other so I only need one stack in my cabinet where I used to have to have two. I really love the simple pattern around the edges and these will work well for casual dining as well as fancier dinners. I did end up requesting a replacement mug and two replacement bowls from Mikasa due to small defects and they were friendly and fast about shipping them to me. If you buy these dishes I recommend you run your hands over all the surfaces to make sure there aren't any little defects that may be difficult to see but very obvious and pointy when you happen to touch them.

This dinnerware set is absolutely beautiful! The white finish gives a clean, classy look that goes well with any table setting. The plates and cups feel sturdy and high-quality. I’ve used them for both everyday meals and special dinners — they always look amazing. Uses: Perfect for daily family meals, formal dinners, parties, or gifting for weddings and housewarmings.

I purchased 2 sets in July 2023 for my family of 3. I was impressed at first with appearance and how light weight they are, but they are not holding up well just a few months later with regular use. Several pieces are heavily stained. Mikasa does not offer a warranty beyond 30 days so there is no recourse. Disappointed in this purchase and would not recommend.

I like the dinnerware set except; that they are very thin. I do not know if the plates are durable until I use them for a couple of months. I may throw one of the cups on the floor to see if they are accidents resistant. I was hoping that they were a little heavier. I do like them though, I just do not like the cups. I may reorder more pieces without the cups, if possible.

Sometimes you get a product that you're happy with initially. Then there are other products where you quietly think 'I'm glad I bought this'. That is what I was thinking last night while having dinner. When we bought this dinnerware set we could tell it was quality, light weight, functional, with simple elegance. But I was worried that the set may not be very durable or worth the extra cost. After 2 years I am happier now than when I bought the dinnerware set. It looks nearly as good today as when it came out of the box. This surprises me because plates will always get scratches or chips when used every day, and this set is used every day. Even stacking plates can dull the finish. I was happy when I got the set, and even more satisfied today. I would buy these again, but may never have to.

My grandma wanted these a few years ago and she still likes to use them to this day! They are a bit on the heavier side and come in various sizes with a nice chic look. Easy to clean even with the ridges and I’ve dropped some of the kitchenware a few times in the sink while cleaning but none of them have ever chipped nor retained scratches or marks. Amazing quality after all these years and I’m sure my grandma will continue using them for the rest of her life!

I love this set! It’s classic… and timeless. It’s understated. It’s good quality, as you would expect from Mikasa. I enjoy setting the table with these plates. They are just classic and please the eye.
