I bought this oral thermometer as a backup to my digital thermometer. I tested it and it works very well. It takes 10 to 15 seconds to get a reading and it's very accurate. It comes with a plastic case for storage. The temperature is easy to read on the thermometer. It's very inexpensive but of a good quality. I purchased spare LR41 batteries separately so that it's always ready for use.

I only had this for a few months and already it doesn’t work properly. It won’t change from C to F even though I never changed to C in the first place. Very frustrating to say the least. Wish I could return it it but it’s too late.

Affordable. Reliable. Babies, children, or adults. Makes a great baby shower gift as well as great gift for care basket. It's always good to have more than one. So even if the person you're buying for already has one, they can never use too many. It gives you peace of mind to have more than one thermometer with children. Consider these for donations as well. They are like a forgotten item that people tend to forget when donating to those who have had house fires and things like that. They would make great donations to pregnancy care centers too. Because it's probably something that a lot of new moms need, and again, it's something that we tend to forget about until we need it.

This thermometer does its basic job, but the readings aren’t very consistent. If I take my temperature and then immediately take it again, it can be almost 0.5 degrees different. Because of that, I wouldn’t rely on it for an exact reading. That said, it’s good enough to tell whether you have a fever or not, especially a high one. If you just need a general idea of whether you’re sick, it serves its purpose. Just don’t expect medical-grade precision.
