Mishimoto MMOC-F Heavy Duty Racing Transmission Cooler, with Electric Fan for Maximum Cooling, Universal Fit

I bought this cooler to support a hydraulic winch installation on my jeep. I had a custom pump fabricated with significantly higher flow and pressure which translates to higher fluid temperatures especially when pulling. This cooler works great and fits nice and tidy behind my jeep JK grille. I used the enclosed hardware and fastened it right to the cross brace, easy peasy. The fan is loud so be prepared and it is electrically noisey; I can hear it on my CB but not on the radio so that's good. It has a lot of surface area and the fan moves a lot of air, my fluid stays warm but not hot even when pulling hard in 95° ambient and maximum load. This cooler is easy and flexible to install, simple to plumb and should be able to keep your oil, steering, transmission or axles cool. It is a great value for the cost and should provide years of quality performance.

Great product! Way better than my stock cooler my truck came with! Keeps my truck much cooler on the hot days and while in stop and go traffic and on the trail! Fan is loud but that what you would expect from and high output fan.

The construction and quality appears to be top notch. My only complaint is the documentation and the holes for mounting do not hold screws well. But thats due to the fact that its aluminum. Its a nice product and has worked well since I bought it. There are theories as to how well an S type cooler actually cools, but thats a decision that needs to be researched elsewhere.

I bought this a year ago and finally got around to installing it (3/28/25).....it came nicely packed and everything was there. I installed in my 2018 4runner because I was concerned about high temps coming from my transmission....this is mostly due to me off- roading at times. The fan blows VERY strong....and is quiet, which is nice. I would definitely recommend this. One thing to note is that you may have to reverse wires because initially, the blue wire is for positive but the fan pulls the air AWAY FROM the cooler. However, if you connect the blue wire to negative and the black wire to positive then you will have air flowing into the cooler (I know, its fkn confusing). No need to worry about things burning down because I contacted mishimoto and they confirmed (2 different representatives on 2 separate calls) that they designed it this way. Its up to the customer to decide which way they want the air to flow. This thing is nice and now I have peace of mind when I hit trails, or rock crawl or head up hills.

Fan failed after about a year and didn't seem to make a difference in Temps anyway.

Well-made, good quality and flawless transmission cooler unit installed behind the grille/core support assembly on an '82 El Camino to cool a 2004R transmission. Recommended.

Starting off with a simple statement. Works as it should and cools well but…. Slow shipping, and came opened, and dented. I still installed and there were no leaks. Thankfully. I am upset I paid full price and waited as long as I did for a slow shipped open obviously returned dented trans cooler.
