I play golf year-round. From mid-December to mid-February it can be very cold. The ground is frozen, the air temps are cold, and the wind can make things miserable (note: the guys in my foursome are awesome, so it's more about the camaraderie than the golf during winter). When it's that cold outside you need to keep your feet, hands, and head warm. I've got electric socks and hand warmers, and even a heated vest. What I've been looking for is a hat that will keep my head and ears warm while providing shade over my eyes; and this hat hits the mark. The hat is very soft, and the lining is very warm; and it has a chin strap to keep it on your head in windy conditions. Since I wear glasses, this hat is more comfortable to wear than a beanie. You won't win any style marks with this hat, but if you prefer function over form, then this hat is for you.

I’m an old retired coot. I get my exercise in by walking a couple of miles each day around the neighborhood. Unfortunately, it gets pretty cold where we live. I’m not talking blizzard conditions and below zero degrees all the time. But we get down in single digits quite often. The freezing cold weather makes getting out and taking my morning walk a bit more difficult.The main culprit is that I wear glasses and any kind of face mask or balaclava causes the steam from my breath to fog up my glasses. So, I’m pretty much relegated to wearing a beanie. Beanies do an ok job of keeping me warm, but this trapper hat is JUST what I need!This thing is WARM!!!! Now, I’ll admit, I’ve not worn it in single digit degree weather… but I can attest to the fact that it keeps my head MUCH warmer than any beanie I’ve ever had before.Now, there are a couple of downfalls to this hat:First of all, I made the mistake of letting my wife and daughter try it. Now I have to order two more of them. So, it’s going to cost you more money because other family members will probably want one.Secondly, don’t expect to look good in it! I look like an absolute DOOFUS wearing this thing. But you know what? I don’t care! This thing keeps me warm. And at my age, nobody is looking at me in THAT way anymore. So, I will keep myself nice and toasty warm and not give a rip about what I look like.When I first put it on, my wife broke out laughing so hard that it made me laugh along with her. When I looked in the mirror, it made me laugh even harder. I’m just saying, don’t expect to be winning any “best looking” awards when wearing it!I will add this… my wife and daughter actually look cute wearing it.

The faux fur lining is really soft and cozy, keeping my head and ears warm even in freezing temperatures. The ear flaps offer full coverage and can be secured in place, ensuring that wind and snow stay out while I’m outside. I’ve worn this hat on long walks and during outdoor chores, and it never fails to keep me comfortable.It has held up well in snowy and damp conditions, keeping my head dry and shielded from the elements.

Cute and comfortable. Keeps head and ears warm while waiting on the bus during cold winter days. Fits tween boys to mens.

This is almost the perfect winter hat for snow-blowing and other activities. The only thing that lets it down a bit are the flaps. I have a larger size head and the flaps are a bit small on the sides of my head when they are down. Honestly, it's really not bad and I am definitely using this hat this winter. I was happy that it fit since my head is on the larger size. I wear a size 60-61cm hat and one-size-fits-all are often too small for me. This hat was fine. The lining is fluffy enough that I think it would accommodate a lot of head sizes. Overall, this hat seems like it's going to be WARM. Just what I need when cleaning snow or out ice fishing!

Very comfortable and toasty warm trapper style hat. The brim is a great feature, as this style doesn't usually have them, but it helps to keep wind/rain/snow out of the eyes. The fake fur lining is super soft, like bunny fur, and very pleasant to wear against the skin. Nylon-like exterior sheds water and blocks wind, great for bad winter weather. The ear flaps can stay down for warmth or be tied up with a plastic buckle. Very pleased overall with this hat.

Nice warm hat

Wow, I wasn’t expecting it to be this good. The fuzzy insulation is INCREDIBLY comfortable on my nearly hairless head and the warmth is exceptional. The cap on the front is about the perfect size too for keeping the sun out of the eyes, and it even has a reflective band on the rim. Nice touch.Very glad they put an adjustment strap on the back because I definitely needed it, but the buckle on the bottom couldn’t been a little better. The trick is not to buckle it too tight because it jabs at the neck when looking down. Keeping it a bit loose still keeps the ear flaps down and makes the wear far more comfortable.Really the only thing that took some getting used to was the look. The square-ish profile of the head makes it look much larger than if I were wearing a hat; but methinks that the comfort and warmth are still worth it. Awesome hat for the cold weather, and certainly one that’ll make you stand out. Five stars overall.
