The clip would have definitely sliced up my bird’s feet so I removed it and used my own. The manufacturer should definitely fix this issue. I would have returned this item but it took a month to arrive from China, was only $3.50, and probably would have cost that much to return it. The cup, itself, is decent enough and a good size for a budgie.
