This 50-book collection offers children classic tales in an engaging, easy-to-read format tailored to their reading levels, from beginner to advanced. Review: Great first readers!! - I brought these for my 5 year old to read over the summer holidays because I didn't want to use Biff and Chip because they use those at school (he's just finished his reception year) They are great books Really nice for this level of book to be an actual story especially as there is a great mixture of classics (Cinderella, the gingerbread man, the enormous turnip) as well as modern alternatives from tv like Peppa Pig, Charlie and Lola and Harry and his bucket of dinosaurs. They come in 4 levels and my son has enjoyed levels 1 and 2 and although he can get through level 3 they're a bit long for him at the moment so there is plenty of growth room for him to enjoy the rest of these books as he develops. He enjoys choosing one from the box himself (which is WAY too small and impossible to get books out of unless you remove some) and has even re-read some he's really enjoyed. The illustrations are really good at helping decipher the story and the questions at the back ensure they've followed the book. Definitely the best early readers I've found and way way cheaper in this set than buying them individually, I think I paid £4 for one in smiths before I found this set. Review: Fantastic for primary school starters - This is fantastic set of books for children just starting school. There are several books at each level (1-4) so children can access more books as their reading improves. We have this set for our children and have bought several for others over the years - all parents and children have agreed that it is a great gift and has really encouraged the children's enjoyment at learning to read for themselves. There is a really good selection of stories, so there will be sure to be plenty to interest the children reading them. It may seem expensive, but considering it is for 50 books I think it is actually very good value.

Very good set. Recommended by my friends and my child keeps reading it since one year to three year.

Has helped us read with our son in a structured way
We had used Ladybird readers every now and then, but buying the set, so that we could go through the books systematically, has really helped our son make progress over the summer. We feel much more on top of supporting literacy outside of school now we have these, and the set works out far cheaper than buying each book individually.

Fantasic and well worth buying
Really good little collection of books that gradually get harder as the children progress through the colours. They can be difficult for the little ones to put away and remove owing to the tight fit of the box. This is a great product other than this one issue but it does have to be noted and one star removed from my initial rating of five stars. Perhaps I'm being a bit unfair with my star removal but I think children should be able to get books out and put them away very easily if they are 'read it yourself', so four stars.. Great books, really bright pictures, nice clear wording with a reasonably durable feel to the sleeve. This is a fantastic purchase for younger children although, judging the quality of grammar demonstrated by recent generations perhaps a few more of our teenagers could do with a 'read it yourself' pack too....

EXCELLENT SET OF BOOKS!
My mum brought these for our 4 year old daughter and they are FANTASTIC. the books are often £4.49 in our local foodstore and on line so the price although high works out very cheap per book. The Books are a good length and have lovely illustrations. The quality is really good and there is a nice mix of older fairy tails like little red riding hood and cinderella as well as the more modern Harry and his bucket full of dinosaurs and peppa pig! A great collection to get started on before our little one starts school in September.

Love these books
Fantastic book set, I bought them for my 4 year old just before starting school. When they first arrived I thought they would be much too hard for her - she was reading 'cat on the mat' type stories at the time - but she loved them, the fairy tales really interested her and she flew through them all. the repetition in the early books is great for helping build confidence with longer words and she loved having real stories & identifiable characters. She's now reading fluently & loving to read by herself & too her younger sister too (and she's still only 4!) Have told everyone I know to buy these, I Can't recommend them enough. I wish more early reading books were as engaging and well done as these - thank you

This story books collection is one of the best collections I found for my non native English language little son because of : 1- It consists of four levels so it helps to improve the child English level gradually . 2- Every story has a simple test in the end to exam if the child understand the story . 3- It covers the most famous stories in English literature for children ( 50 famous story ) . 4- The collection is very well directed with amazing pictures and texts .

The books are good. But the bad part is out of 50 books 10 books are repeated. I have 2 copies of 10 books which is cheating. My son’s fav book why giraffe had a long neck is not there among various other tittles. This is sad. For the books rating is 5 but for the seller sadly 0 stars.
