The way Oraya processes her assault—never outright naming it, only calling it "after"—was devastatingly well done. And then the subtle hints about Raihn possibly experiencing the same? What a brutal way to have something in common. The writing and worldbuilding were so immersive, with little details like the unique expletives ("Mother," "Sun-damned," "Ix’s tits") making the world feel alive. Ilana’s death was an interesting choice, but it didn’t hit as hard since we barely saw her. More flashbacks might have helped. And then there’s the turning process. Is Oraya already turning because of the wedding ceremony? The blood exchange? And Raihn came inside her—so does that mean baby?? Nothing was explained, and I need answers. And Alarus being "considered" dead?? That wording is suspicious—he’s the god of death, after all. The spicy part comes much later but in many pages-passionate and beautifully written🥰 The rest of the chapters after that had me feel all sorts of things🥹I don’t wanna spoil it though. Alota names i wanna mention such as Ibrahim… Vincent. Well I haven't read hunger games yet, so can't comment. But the world building is emmersive. The characters are amazing. Love oraya, our brilliant & strong fmc & 🥁Raihn. Freaking. Ashraj. Loved their banter (& him saying "There she is.") That ending was jawdropping. From loving Raihn, to hating him and falling in love with him again in the next book, it was a wonderful journey.
