Very inexpensive plant based protein powder with lots of other nutrients. Great buy!
The Naked Pea protein power packs a whopping 76 2-scoop servings into a container, all of which is high quality pea protein, (just 1 clean ingredient) and loaded with other nutrients. This is the most affordable way to get a lot of protein for a low price. It is, as expected, fairly chalky, and it has no real discernable flavor. I make smoothies out of it, with 12oz unsweetened plant milk (usually almond milk), 1 Tbs of lemon juice, 1 Tbs chia seeds, 1 Tbs ground flax seed, 1 tsp vanilla, 1 scoop of the Naked Peanut Butter powder (a killer value, also with 76 servings, that has a great peanut flavor and has very low fat and no sugar, plus another 7gm of protein), some Allulose or other non caloric sweetener, 1 cup of frozen berries, and perhaps 3 or 4 ice cubes. It is pretty good, although still not as fruit forward as a regular fruit smoothie, which is why I add lemon juice for a little more zing. But dang, it makes a big smoothie that will fill you up and give you a ton of nutrients, some fiber, and a lot of protein, and actually tastes pleasant.

Amazing and will keep on ordering!
Clean and pure! Not the best flavor but has no additives and artificial, which is how it should be! Think this is my 3rd or forth order. Great way to get in some clean, low calorie food! Also decent value compared to other brands!

takes some time to adjust
When I first tried this pea protein powder, I was interested in finding a plant-based option that could provide a clean source of protein without any added flavors or sweeteners. The 5lb container is a great size, offering 76 servings, so it’s perfect if you plan to use it regularly. The powder itself is a fine, unflavored pea protein isolate, which means it’s easy to mix into shakes, smoothies, or even baked goods without altering the taste. I liked that it was unflavored because I could add it to various recipes without worrying about a strong taste interfering with other ingredients. I mixed it into my morning smoothies and post-workout shakes, and I was impressed with how easily it dissolved. There was no grittiness or aftertaste, which can sometimes be a problem with plant-based protein powders. The protein content is solid, offering 20 grams of protein per serving, which is perfect for my needs after a workout or to keep me full between meals. I also appreciated that it’s easily digestible, and I didn’t experience any bloating or discomfort, which I’ve had with other types of protein powders in the past. However, there are a couple of things I think could be improved. First, since it’s unflavored, it does have a slight pea-like taste, especially if you don’t mix it with a lot of other ingredients. It’s not overwhelming, but it’s noticeable if you drink it in just water or with just a simple fruit blend. Another thing to consider is that it can be a little less sweet than other protein powders that use stevia or other sweeteners. If you prefer a sweeter taste, you might need to add something like honey or a flavored powder to balance it out. Overall, I’m satisfied with this pea protein powder. It’s a great option for those looking for a clean, plant-based protein source that’s easy to digest and versatile. While it does have a subtle pea flavor and lacks sweetness, it works well in smoothies, shakes, and other recipes. The 5lb container offers a lot of servings, making it a good value, especially for those who use protein powder regularly. If you’re looking for an unflavored, vegan protein that delivers solid nutrition without any additives, this one is definitely worth considering.

Makes a great sauce for vegetables.
I use protein powder in the following recipe to flavor vegetables. Tasty Low Sodium & Low Carbohydrate Recipe for Weight Reduction & Weight Maintenance This recipe uses many spices used in Persian cuisine as there is only so much you can do with low carbohydrate vegetables as far as flavor is concerned. Ancient Persia plays a tremendously fascinating role in providing thousands of years of flavoring expertise to make low carbohydrate vegetables more palatable and appealing. First, add two cups of water to a microwaveable ceramic bowl with a glass lid. Add in 4 heaping tablespoons of kosher organic fenugreek seeds along with 2 tablespoons each of kosher, organic powdered ginger as well as turmeric. Add in 1 tablespoon kosher olive oil as well as 1/2 tablespoon of kosher ground pepper. Place lid on microwaveable bowl & microwave for 4 minutes. Let sit for 1 hour until fenugreek seeds soften. Once cooled, transfer fenugreek seed flavoring sauce to a Tupperware container & refrigerate. Wash 3 pounds of organic broccoli thoroughly and inspect for bugs. Place 3 pounds of minced broccoli in an air fryer basket, spray lightly with kosher olive oil and air fry at 350 degrees for 4 1/2 minutes to 5 minutes. Allow to air cool. Once air cooled, place cooked broccoli in a plastic Tupperware container and refrigerate. If you don’t own an air fryer, simply place 3 pounds of broccoli in a large pot & add two cups water to pot. Place lid on pot and steam while stirring until broccoli is lightly cooked. Use a colander to drain water from broccoli. Wash 2 pounds of mushrooms & thoroughly inspect for bugs. Mince. Place 2 pounds of minced mushroom in an air fryer basket, spray lightly with kosher olive oil and air fry at 350 degrees for 8 minutes. Allow to air cool. Once air cooled, place mushrooms in a plastic Tupperware container and refrigerate. If you don’t own an air fryer, simply place mushrooms in large frying pan and sautee with olive oil until water has evaporated to a thick sauce. Next, peel 3 extra large rinsed & chilled avocados. Finely mince avocado flesh and place in a large Tupperware container & store in refrigerator. The last step is to use a large pot to mix all the ingredients. In a large pot, add the chilled avocados, chilled cooked broccoli, cooked, chilled mushrooms as well as turmeric & ginger seasoned fenugreek seed sauce. To the pot add 6 tablespoons ground flaxseed and 6 tablespoons of organic, kosher pea protein powder. Finally to the pot add 1/4 cup organic apple cider vinegar & 1/4 cup organic lemon juice. Stir the pot contents with a large spoon and transfer contents of pot to 4 or 5 Tupperware containers for refrigeration until ready to serve a meal. Now, for a nutritious low carbohydrate breakfast, fill a ceramic microwaveable cereal bowl with pre-prepared & flavored low carbohydrate vegetables and microwave for 4 minutes. Transfer the hot vegetable dish to a much larger bowl and stir in 3 tablespoons of kosher, organic psyllium whole husk powder for added fiber to help provide a feeling of satiety throughout the day. Once the whole husk psyllium powder is mixed into the vegetable dish, the vegetable breakfast bowl needs to be consumed within 8 to 10 minutes as psyllium very quickly absorbs water and becomes almost totally unpalatable if left to sit idle and is not eaten almost immediately after mixing in psyllium. Enjoy vegetable bowl with organic, kosher salsa and organic, kosher sauerkraut to taste. This vegetable bowl should be eaten with perhaps 1 ounce of kosher lamb or tofu for added protein as excessive eggs are known to cause diabetes & overall mortality risk. This breakfast meal works best for weight management if it is the last & only meal of the day. The added whole husk psyllium powder acts as an appetite suppressant, & the low carbohydrate vegetable meal prevents an upsurge of insulin that inhibits lipolysis. Furthermore, restricting meals to one per day further inhibits insulin which prevents lipolysis. Lipolysis means burning fat for energy in biological organisms. Note that the critical ingredient & step is adding in psyllium whole husk powder as psyllium whole husk powder creates a sensation of satiety through the entire day & allows one to skip both lunch as well as dinner as well as in-between snacks. Weight loss and weight maintenance is far too difficult without psyllium whole husk powder without the added satiety effect. Within one to four hours after breakfast, the following beverages may be consumed as they act as appetite suppressants. Beverage A: add two shots of organic espresso to 12 ounces organic almond milk & add stevia to taste. Makes a keto latte. Beverage B: Add one tablespoon organic lemon juice plus one tablespoon organic apple cider vinegar to a 16 ounce glass of water and add liquid stevia to taste. Add ice cubes to chill the drink. Beverage C: black coffee You should see immediate weight loss results if you’re also adding in a sufficient amount of exercise per day. Remember, no pain, no gain. I typically lose 1/3 pound per day with a 45 minute bicycle ride right after breakfast. I still get very mild hunger pains consisting of stomach grumbling around 5-7 pm, but I typically sip on apple cider & lemon juice flavored stevia sweetened water to make very minor hunger pains go away. I still have a sweet tooth to satisfy after breakfast, so I eat a few slices of stevia sweetened organic almond flour chocolate cake along with almond butter & stevia sweetened chia seed pudding for desert. Ingredients for keto low carb chocolate cake Recipe: 3 eggs 1 1/2 cups organic almond flour 1/2 cup organic almond milk 2 tablespoons psyllium whole husk powder -organic 1/4 cup organic walnuts Stevia to taste 2 1/2 teaspoons baking powder Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes & allow to cool in oven for 30 minutes Recipe for Keto low carb Chia seed pudding: 1/2 cup organic chia seed 1/2 cup organic cacao powder Stevia to taste 2 cups hot organic almond milk First heat 2 cups almond milk & then stir in other ingredients & chill in refrigerator when cooled. The key ingredient for the vegetable stir fry is psyllium whole husk fiber as psyllium greatly slows down the absorption of the meal so the meal lasts an entire 24 hours without major hunger pains even when exercise is added in. Hands-down the best pea protein out there for the money
Younger me used to be able to eat/drink dairy without any issues. Heading out of my 30s, I've found myself suddenly dealing with bloating/gas/GI irritation any time I have dairy. I am a pretty active person, running 4-5x a week and doing strength training at least 2-3x a week. I don't always feel like I'm getting enough nutrition (particularly on the protein front) from my food, so I've been supplementing with various protein powders during my adulthood in hopes of making sure my body has what is needed to rebuild after my workouts. I used to bank on whey protein as my go-to, since it contains the full spectrum of essential amino acids - but it's not getting along with my gut any more, so I've been on the hunt for an alternate full-spectrum protein powder that wouldn't give me the same digestive trouble. Enter Naked's pea protein. I had experimented with some vegan protein powders previously, including Spirutein (which is tasty but crazy expensive) and Orgain - which, again, is tasty and mixes well but has gotten very expensive. When you enter vegan protein territory, you kind of by default have to accept that there's going to be some graininess or texture to it. But I will say, considering Naked Pea Protein is literally just ground-up peas (at least the plain kind I've been buying), its texture is fantastic and borderline smooth. It mixes up great in DF milk or even just water, and it doesn't have an overly strong vegetable flavor, so it can be easily mixed into fruit-based smoothies without making them taste weird. I initially tried the vanilla-flavored version of this protein before realizing I could eke just a little more protein out of two scoops while switching to adding my own sweetener (which typically ends up being stevia and/or raw honey) to taste, and I have it on regular delivery now. I think the only "con" about this protein is that it's missing literally only one of the amino acids you'll find in whey protein, I believe methionine. But I still eat plenty of animal-based foods that include it, so I'm not too worried about it when the net result of taking this protein as a supplement is that I'm getting >25g of overall extra protein in my diet. That said, if you're looking for a smooth, non-grainy protein powder that mixes well and doesn't taste funky, and you're put off by how expensive whey protein has gotten over the last several years, I'd highly recommend giving this stuff a shot. It takes some adjustment if you're coming from whey, but if you're open-minded, you can't go wrong with it!

Taste is fine if you put it in something like a smoothie (UPDATE! Vanilla version is better!)
Did not come with a scoop inside, so that's kinda annoying. I'm just using my 1/4 measuring cup as a scoop instead. 1/4cup is basically equal to 64cc or 4tbsp, the serving size. EDIT: Found the scoop! It did have a scoop, but it was really buried down deep in the powder, even though the jar only comes half-full because of compacting down during shipping. So go digging in your powder and you'll probably find your scoop. It smells faintly of peas and it will taste like horrible pea chalk if you just eat it by itself. I strongly do not recommend putting this in water. You need to put it in a smoothie or sauce or something so you can barely taste it. I do a morning smoothie every morning: 14 cups spinach and 2 cups orange. It's a huge smoothie and I can still taste a hint of peas from behind the spinach. If you do smaller smoothies, then you might want to do 1/2 serving size so the pea taste doesn't overwhelm. I doubt many protein powders taste that good unless you dump a ton of sugar and fat into them. So don't expect "pea chalk" to taste good by itself or in a glass of water. Put it in a smoothie or something else and it should be fine, even if you can still taste a hint of peas. UPDATE: While the plain Naked Pea powder is fine, I really wanted the taste of peas to be toned down a little.... but I didn't want to add bananas or anything else to my smoothie. So I decided to try out the Vanilla Naked Pea powder. It's PERFECT. Having that bit of sugar and vanilla in the powder totally knocks down the strong pea taste and my smoothie tastes great again. I don't think you have to have the vanilla or chocolate favored version if you're putting enough stuff in your smoothie, but if you think the plain pea protein is still too strong, then definitely try out the vanilla or chocolate version. It makes such a difference. I did also try out the vanilla flavored KOS protein powder because its rated as the "best tasting" by many websites. I did NOT like it. It was 10000x times TOO sweet. It was giving me a headache and a stomach ache it was so sweet. It was so overwhelming that even with 14 cups of spinach, I couldn't taste ANY of the spinach, all I could taste was an atomic bomb level of vanilla sweetness. That is seriously strong stuff to be able to overwhelm all of that spinach in my smoothie. So I'm definitely sticking with Vanilla Naked Pea. Just a bit of sweetness to make it pleasant and hide the pea taste without giving me atomic bomb levels of sweetness that literally cause stomach aches and headaches and make it impossible to taste anything else in your smoothie. I do NOT recommend putting plain Naked Pea in water to drink. Definitely need to put it in a smoothie or something else. But you might be able to put the Vanilla or Chocolate version of Naked Pea in water and be OK. It really does knock down almost all of the pea flavor, so the main thing you're tasting is vanilla or chocolate, even in plain water.

Great price and protein, not great flavor
Great protein content, blends easy. Tastes horrible. Have tried blending it with other ingredients, fruit, peanut butter, etc. It's super overpowering. HOWEVER, I have been eating more sugar and things prior to trying this, so maybe my palate needs more time to adjust. 🤗🤔 Great protein content for the price. Just a difficult flavor to get past.

I eat veggies, so this tastes great! Unflavored with Warm Water
Unflavored All the Way! If you read that it doesn't taste great, take into consideration that those reviews are written by people who aren't serious about their diets and are probably not used to eating vegetables. I even saw one review where they mix it with Diet Coke or Mountain Dew. I'm clearly going to take all my diet recommendations from those guys. #sarcasm If you're diet is somewhat normal and you know what peas taste like, you'll be fine. I honestly take 100° water, make a paste with it, then dilute it a little to make it drinkable, and gulp. When I make it a paste to a drinkable consistency, it doesn't have lumps and is really smooth. Yes it's like eating peas, but peas that are packed with protein and BCAAs. I love how they test for heavy metals and they also have certified results from two testing labs on their macros. American and Canadian crop, single ingredient, no gluten or dairy. You literally can't go wrong! However, I'm giving 4 stars because I am a little concerned that it's not organic. But even more concerned with how much tyrosine is in it. It seems that every protein now (vs 10 years ago) has tyrosine in it. So there's no getting away from it, but this has a staggering amount. If you have thyroid issues, hyper/hypo, taking meds/hormones, talk to your Dr about this. For normal people,150mg daily for 3 months is considered safe, and this has 1,107mg (7x!) Just do your research, I'll only be using this twice a week until it's gone, and I'll be looking for something else.

Amazing Quality, Minimal Taste, Easy to Digest!
Honestly, I wasn't sure about this because so many reviews state that the flavour is REALLY bad -- it's not?? I don't get what that's all about because it just tastes like powdered peas if it had less flavour. Obviously it's not going to taste sweet because it's unflavoured, but it's not an overly bitter taste, if much taste at all. It's perfect for blending into matcha, teas, or slow cooker recipes to add extra protein into my diet. It hardly adds any taste difference to my teas or recipes; I don't notice a difference. Taste: Slightly chalky, minimally bitter. If you don't like the minimal taste that it has, just mix it with some cacao powder or vanilla, or something that has a more potent flavour to it. Mixing Quality: I find it easier to mix into my drinks with an electric milk frother and not by shaking it or using a fork. If I'm putting it into cooking recipes, it just dissolves on its own. Expiration Date: It's expiration date is set to December 2026, which gives me over 1.5yrs to consume it. That's fairly good. **Also, I have a weak stomach and find it hard to digest certain foods. This has never given my stomach any issues with pain or bloating. Actually, it's one of the better protein powders I've tried for my weak stomach. I've had some issues with the Optimum Nutrition Gold Standard Whey which was recently the best one I've tried, but this definitely beats that in concerns with being more easily digestable.

Very impressed! Would highly recommend to anyone.
This product is exactly as advertised and only contains the best quality protien, I know this as all other protien powders were comming straight out in my urine but this protien isn't. Pros- high quality protien Cons - if taste is a big thing for you then don't buy this .

One of the better ones
One of the better natural pea proteins I’ve tried so far - it shakes well so I skip the blender on lazy days, and the taste is pretty neutral, takes on flavours well. I also like the higher quality peas from North America.
