Single clamp isn't stable. Shifting is okay.
I don't have the Logitech shifter to do a direct comparison to, but from what I can tell, the clamp is the main thing that is different. The build quality seems good and doesn't feel cheap. Attachment and clamping isn’t the greatest. It's just a single clamp and only have one point of contact without any flat surface to hold it steady. It may work in some tables, but happened to not be suitable to hold firmly to mine. Not necessarily the shifter’s fault, but annoying nonetheless. I was able to figure something out to get it to work, but nothing firm enough to keep it firmly stable while playing.Shift “gates” aren’t very crisp. For example, first and second gear are easy to get into and when you do, you’re confident each time that you’re in the “expected” gear. But third through sixth gear is a bit of a question mark. I was never quite confident while rowing through the gears whether I was in third vs fifth gear, or fourth vs sixth gear. Also, reverse is shown on the graphic of the shift knob to be further to the right of fifth and sixth gears. However, it’s actually in the SAME SPOT as sixth gear, but you just have to press the gear knob down (towards the floor) before pulling into the sixth gear spot. Now you’re in reverse. Not quite the expected motion, but I guess you can get used to it eventually. It's not bad, and seems to be almost the same as the Logitech one, but considering the price gap isn't that big, I would probably go with the Logitech one just for the better clamping alone.

THIS IS GREAT!
Elevating the Gaming Experience with Manual Shifters!I recently picked up a manual shifter for my racing games, and I can't believe the difference it's made! This addition has transformed my gaming sessions into a thrilling experience that feels so much more immersive.First off, the build quality of the shifter is fantastic. It has a solid, durable feel, with smooth action that really replicates the experience of driving a real car. The resistance is just right, making each gear shift satisfying and responsive. I love the tactile feedback—it adds a whole new level of engagement to the gameplay.Using a manual shifter has improved my control over the vehicles, allowing for precise gear changes that really enhance my performance on the track. I’ve noticed I’m able to navigate turns better and manage my speed more effectively. It also encourages a more strategic approach to driving, as I’m constantly thinking about when to upshift or downshift. The compatibility with various racing games is a huge plus. Whether I'm tearing through tracks in an arcade-style racer or tackling realistic simulations, the shifter integrates seamlessly, and I appreciate how customizable the settings are.Overall, investing in a manual shifter has been one of the best decisions for my gaming setup. If you're looking to elevate your racing experience and bring that authentic driving feel to your living room, I highly recommend getting one. It's a game-changer!

High quality
The gearshifter works really well with many racing games. It connects to the bottom of the steering wheel just like Logitech's own version of the gear shifter. The build quality is nice, the base feels secure on my desk and the rod has a nice leather boot for the rod. I also enjoy the fluidity and feeling the clicks when shifting gears. Although I would prefer the gear shifter having a wider boot because I often find myself shifting to the wrong gears sometimes.

Not as good as Logitech
If they're going to charge around the same amount for this as the Logitech shifter, it should be at least as good, but it's not. The clamp isn't as good as the Logitech's. The logitech has two clamps, one on each side that prevent rotation of the shifter when shifting. This one only has a central clamp and it tends to twist left and right unless the clamp is extremely tight. I would normally give it 4 stars if it was just this, but my particular shifter seems to have an issue with the right slots (5/6 gears). Unless I wiggle the stick to the right side of the slots, the shifting doesn't register. For the price I'd recommend to just go with the Logitech since the price is currently very similar. If this one is significantly cheaper, then I'd recommend it. It's compatible with the Logitech wheels and functions the same otherwise.

Solid replacement product for G29, works with bodnar adapter for standalone
Solid replacement product for G29, works with bodnar adapter for standaloneCompared to the G29, this sounds contradictory, I don't know how to word it. The movement on this shifter after engagement feels looser than the stock shifter. Then, as you get it into the gear, it has a grip that is tighter so you have a more tactile feel that the gear is in place. It's a slightly different feel. I won't call it superior or worse because when you start getting into these products it's a matter of taste, just like real cars. While this is advertised as useful only with the G29 wheel, it can be made standalone with an adapter (just like the G29 shifter can). Search term "bodnar" and you'll find racing sim enthusiasts who build adapters.
