Worked to replace a broken frob
Both of my original OEM fobs were in a state of disrepair after almost 11 years. This item comes with every thing (I believe) you would need to completely replace a fob, however it requires the spare key be cut and that the transmitter be programmed for your car. Instead of doing these things, I was able to take the electronics and key out of my old fob and put them in this new housing. The only differences I noted were the lack of "FORD" badge on the back (this is mentioned in the product descriptions) and the key ring attachment was made of plastic on this part and my original fob was made of a light metallic material (I'm assuming aluminum).
